The selection of soups here is amazing. You can get some quality soups if you’re a vegetarian. If you’re not a vegetarian you still have plenty of options. Raven was very helpful. High quality customer service.
THEY NO LONGER EXIST HERE !
I usually eat here 3 times a week for lunch. I always order the green goddess salad and for some reason, it always comes out differently based on who makes it. In some cases, they even forget the avocado....it's the green goddess salad. Regardless, the staff is always friendly, and the manager I think man who stands around and helps out is always smiling! Love the cashiers, they're sweet too. So good inconsistent food, and friendly staff.
Love this place, I enjoy the variety of soups. They also make salads. The place is kept nice & clean and the workers are nice. I gave it a 4 star because I'm not always satisfied with the soups, although, you can taste before you buy. I have paid $10 for a large soup, so it better be good! I also avoid the soups with chicken, just a personal preference, since I don't like the taste of leftover chicken. I had a chicken soup here one time and didn't like the taste. But I've been buying here for years and I will continue to go back.
Good soups and sandwiches. Reasonably priced. Nice size portions. You can get as many soup samples as you want until you pick one. Staff is always nice. Not much seating, so it's more like a take out. And they close early for late lunchers like me.
When we ordered our food there were several items missing. We couldn't get a hold of anyone over the phone. When we got on seamless to tell them we were Missing items the restaurant refused to redeliver the items that we were Missing. Horrible customer service!!
I been here a couple of times for lunch. Their space is a bit bigger than one near 41st and 5th rough estimate. It has a couple of chairs to sit and enjoy your food but there isn't any space for groups of 4 and more. When we went around 4pm ET, there weren't many soups or sandwiches left but there wasn't any lines either : Some of the soups, they had available wasn't on the chalkboard and some of the sandwiches didn't have prices or stickers denoting what they were. The staff was nice and the place was really clean.
I'm currently here having a quick soup. Can I start off by saying I'm born and raised in NYC and worked in the service industry for 20 years. The staff currently on right now is on point! Super friendly each and every one of them... Going above and beyond to check for allergy ingredients even though I didn't ask specifically to do so... Smiles on all their faces all the way down to register person...and most of all efficient. It's also 2:13pm I'm sure right after their lunch rush where you think they would be tired and not on their A game but these guys are a pleasure to walk into. Someone in corporate please take note of this location and staff currently on 8/16/19 2pm
I really don't eat salads for lunch, but recently I've been coming by this spot with coworkers. First of all, Hale & Hearty beats Chop't any day of the week. It's cheaper, the lines are shorter, and the staff is generally nice. With that being said, you're still paying upwards of $10 for a salad. This particular location tends to get pretty hectic during lunch hours because of all the nearby businesses. The lines here are split into two: one for salads, and one for soups/sandwiches. Like a production plant, you wait in line, grab your salad bowl, and have the staff scoop in your toppings and chop up your salad. If you're a pretty basic salad eater, then you can opt for their basic toppings and pay ~$5. Otherwise, if you're the fancy type, then you can do a Pick-5 and get any 5 toppings you want for $10. For those of us who get tired of salads, Hale & Hearty does have a large assortment of soups, but don't get ahead of yourself. A lot of these soups are high in fat and sodium. However, if you get a small soup, and pair that with a half sandwich, you're actually pretty full and you spend less than $10. I wouldn't say that the sandwiches here are phenomenal, but they're decent enough to not make you puke. Hale & Hearty is great for those who want a fast and healthy lunch. I don't know how folks can eat this 5 days a week, because after day 3, I'm ready to devour a cow.
Ordered online to pickup soup. Thought I received the wrong soup so went back, turns out that I ordered wrong. The gentleman working the order pick ups was very helpful, got me another soup that I preferred & had me taken care of in no time. Always good & hot soup!!
