By for the worse gym I’ve been to. They gym had low ceiling around the perimeter, and in the section with the stairclimbers you literally had to hunch down a bit to keep from hitting you head on the cheap foam ceiling panels. It pretty much reminded me of an oversized although it’s actually a small gym crappy hotel gym. Accept in this case you should be upset that you pay to work out here.
Fantastic gym on all levels! The staff is extremely friendly, from the desk staff to the personal trainers to the janitorial staff. It's also not crowded during the peak morning or noon time hours. I don't go often after works so not sure of that period of time. The locker rooms are clean and the Bliss shower products are a nice touch. You also don't need a lock as they have digital lockpads. I would highly recommend this gym and am actually sad that my new job isn't close enough to continue my membership.
Came to this gym yesterday and was pretty impressed. I bought a day pass for $20, which is available for 24 hours so you can actually get two days out of it, and they even said they're pretty lenient when it comes to that. The locker rooms are clean, complimentary towels and digital locks, good music, and most any equipment you should need. They didn't have a reverse fly machine but I did without it. Would recommend others to check it out!
This gym is a hidden gem in the busy city! Crunch gyms offer unlimited towels, Bliss shower products, programmable electronic lockers yep, you never need to carry a pesky lock again! and other locker room accessories to make the workout experience extremely luxurious—all you need to bring is yourself and your clothes! The staff is always available to answer questions and guide you into the best exercise practice for you. How does it get better than that?!?! I recommend going in today and speaking with Davis and/or Karen to find out how you can join and enjoy everything this gym has to offer, and who knows maybe I will see you in one of their 300 monthly classes which are included in the membership. Take care and BE WELL!
i love this facility. it's always clean, the instructors are friendly, and the classes are great. i really feel pumped to work out there. The trainers are always will to help by going above and beyond to show anyone how to use anything in the gym.
Pretty decent gym. Clean enough, not super crowded, have enough equipment and a decent variety. I don't do group fitness, but it seems like they offer tons of different classes at all different times of day. Locker rooms are clean enough. Great staff.
Went in for a free trial my review isn't the most informed. It was a reasonably priced gym with basic amenities like towel service. I didn't really like the class I took and the locker room was a little haphazard. The staff is super nice and equipment is good, just not the right gym for me personally.
I have lived in DC for over 10 years and joined many gyms. Crunch is the best! Super clean and crazy equipped! It has a huge amount of cardio equipment, tons of free weights and benches and fantastic classes! Glad I finally found a gym worth it's membership
I don't always go to the Metro Center location of Crunch, but each time that I have, I have had an enjoyable experience. The classes are great and not too crowded btw, I am reviewing this during the summer, which is usually has lower attendance. Their locker rooms also don't require you to bring a lock, which is great. This location has newer machines including really new and great machines that mimic body movement despite being on a machine. Machines are set up in a nice circuit as well, so if you are new to the gym, you don't have to go to far to be able to do a full body workout. I would recommend trying out a spin class and/or using the Jacob's ladder.
Gym is inexpensive and people are nice yet there are a couple of inconveniences I dislike. 1. Women's digital lockers are almost all broken. Every time I go I have to test out each one to see which one has a working keypad let alone a functioning lock! Time consuming! 2. The stretch room is very small and doesn't have a clock on the wall or wipes to clean the mats. 3. The wooden floor in the main studio is in need of refinishing. 4. The spin class while cool looking inside is much too crowded with bikes bunch up together. 5. People don't curtesy wipe their mats and equipment after use. 6. Some people don't re-rack their heavy weights. Positives: 1. Great classes 2. Clean gym 3. Friendly staff and trainers 4. Excellent shower facilities. This is actually the best attribute of the entire gym. Most people give it very high reviews as myself. Very clean and well stocked. 5. Great location near Metro Center station. 6. Adequate amount of cardio and weight training equipment for a small gym. In sum I would recommend this gym due to its low price and location even with some of the negatives I listed above. !
