Wonderful people run this place. Free camping is offered behind the store. What a difference from just crossing the street. And as a bonus night ski here is amazing.

Excellent customer service! Many great gift items for all ages. Prices very reasonable. Ask for the locally made Native American items. Our first time in AZ and the forest. Of all the gift shops in the Petrified forest...this is the best stop!!

The area felt safe and it was located right outside the park. The bathrooms were clean but only available during store hours. It’s really nice they let people camp here. Buy something and show support.

Take care of the blonde old woman working there.. she can become really scared and ugly when get angry (and that possible without reason)
TOTALLY UNFRIENDLY.

There are a lot of gift shops around the Park .. I suggest to don't choose the 2 at the entrance from the 180hwy

Lots of petrified rocks for sale, some polished and thin enough to let light through, some so big you'll need a crane to lift them. Some will fit in your wallet, no matter how thick (or thin) that is! And a very friendly staff.
