Cumberland County School Bus Transportation Service

The bus drivers from Raleigh Road and Long Hill are AMAZING. They are always courteous and appropriately firm about consistently enforcing the rules. Both of my kids have felt safe and happy on the bus. We just moved from a different school system out of state where this was not the case, and I worried about my children every day and eventually stopped using bus services. Here I never worry about my children. The drivers take the time to know each child. One driver was even hesitant to take a planned day off until she was certain she had a kind and qualified substitute driver for "her kids." When I've called the main transportation office my questions have been answered promptly and with professionalism. I also see another review comment about concerns related to the transportation of students with special needs. My daughter shares a stop with a special needs bus, and I have seen the driver being friendly, patient, safe, respectful and all of the students on the bus are regularly smiling and wave goodbye to one another. I've seen her operate the wheelchair lift/ramp and never rush or be at all impatient etc. Im sorry for whatever negative experience someone else had but wanted to share what we have seen.
