Cuong's Vegan Sandwiches

I love this place! My go-to for lunch and I'm not even vegan! Their BBQ banh mi is delicious and I'd eat it over any meat banh mi any day! All smoothies are made with coconut milk. Quick lunch options available to order and also prepackaged. Service is so quick, the staff is so nice and open to answering questions. Cash only!

Dingy and basic, but super yummy and vegan. Totally Chinatown! The bubble tea and fried rice are off the hook! Haven't tried the cakes and stuff, but everything I've had is awesome. Only reserved the 5th star because everything is prepared so they can't accommodate changes. But the trade-off is that it's quick and convenient, so you could see it as a positive.

Really friendly staff. It's not busy which is a bit concerning, but the sandwich was great!

I've had the carrot cake and the coconut-filled glutinous rice cake wrapped in banana (?) leaves. The carrot cake was moist and had the perfect level of sweetness. It's denser than the average cake. The rice cake was amazing. I'm not sure what it's called, but it looks like a zongzi from the outside. The leaves gave it a refreshing aroma, and the subtle flavor of the rice flour offset the sweet + subtly savory filling. The filling is coconut cooked with sesame seeds. I'm not a huge fan of coconut, but this was the best thing I've eaten all week. The owner is also very kind, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially compared to some other vegan places. There are very few seats though.
