I visit this CVS all the time as I often get a few groceries and my prescriptions here. The CVS staff and pharmacists are always so friendly and helpful, and the store is often fully stocked and neatly organized! I also find the store to be accessible to anyone with physical or invisible disabilities. The entrance on both sides have accessible sidewalks and ramps that lead to motion-sensor doors. These doors remain open for a good amount of time, allowing anyone who needs extra time to get in the chance to. Additionally, I noticed disability-accessible countertops at both the pharmacy and check-out counters although the one pictured is closed, there is another available. The aisles are clear, wide, well lit, and not loud. The only accessibility related issue I could think of is that some of the aisles are above head height, which could be difficult for someone who is in a wheelchair or doesn't have the range of motion to reach that high. Overall, great CVS location!!
They get medications filled in a timely manner. HOWEVER, they are not following CVS protocol when it comes to pharmacist consultations at the pickup counter. Twice now when I have gone in to get a new medication, the pharmacist has LOUDLY discussed my medications in front of other patients instead of referring over to the consultation area in accordance with CVS policy, referring to my medications by their common name when I was using the drug name for privacy reasons. Also, the pharmacist was not looking me in the eyes while doing so. Made me feel embarrassed about my disability.
Good selection, good pharmacy service. Horrible parking situation for bikes. There is only one usable bike parking rack, a lone inverted-U rack against the curb on the High Street side. The store has a second rack on the south side which only allows you to lock your wheels, not your frame, which is just plain irresponsible. Using such a rack is how your bike gets stolen, leaving only a wheel behind. Get rid of the junk wheel-only rack and install some more inverted-U racks with lighting and security cameras.
I am reviewing this CVS location as I examined the accessibility of the location for a class. I was very impressed with the accessibility features of this location. Both front entrance and back entrance doors were wide and automatic so that customers do not have to open the door. There are also two handicap parking spots right outside of the back entrance. CVS did a nice job of clearing off snow and ice in the handicap parking area and on the sidewalks leading up to the back entrance. Once inside the store, aisles were wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There were six shelves that may make reaching for an item on the top or bottom shelf challenging. The check-out counter area was also wide and accessible for an individual with a wheelchair to purchase items.
This CVS is great and conveniently located on north campus. There is handicap parking located near the back entrance close to the door. The doors are all automatic front and back entrances, so they are accessible to individuals in wheelchairs/the visually impaired. The staff is very friendly and helpful if needed. The only issue may be that the isles are a little tight, which may make them crowded for wheelchair users. Both cashier and self-checkout options are available. Overall fairly accessible.
04/12/2022 about 3:30 pm the pharmacy helped me after I cut my finger pretty bad on a kitchen knife this morning. They recommended I get a tetanus shot and got it to me right away covered by my insurance. The pharmacist was caring and helpful as well as the rest of the people who helped me in the store. Thanks!
This is quite a large CVS. There is a lot more food and random items here than at other places that I have seen. The pharmacy staff are super nice here. They are polite to me, and they don't make me wait too long if my order was placed elsewhere. The different entrances and exists still mess me up, but that's only a minor complaint.
I reviewed this CVS location to see how accessible it is for any customer who might shop there. This store has automatic sliding doors at both entrances and both are wheelchair friendly entrances. The back parking lot features a couple handicap parking spaces, and there is just a slight decline leading to the door. Most of the aisles are wide enough for a wheelchair to get through however some have displays that stick out that will make it hard to get through. The shelves do not go too high so people who may not have a very long reach can still access a lot of the products. There are self checkouts with voice and on screen instructions, so someone hard of hearing could still follow all the prompts. There are also cashiers who can ring people out as well for those who would prefer. Certain displays such as sunglasses or the large stack of toilet paper both pictured below are somewhat in the way and someone relying on a white cane would have to identify in order to safely maneuver around. The front towards the checkout can tend to get crowded making it hard for anyone to get around, as there is no set area for a line to form. This is something that could definitely be improved upon.
I generally use this pharmacy out of necessity as an OSU student but the service here can be unreliable. Have had multiple issues with the pharmacy including them telling me my pre-op medicine would be ready in 15 minutes and it not being ready for hours the day before my surgery.
Excellent service from on site testing to the minute clinic and pharmacy. If you need medical attention this clinic will not disappoint you!! NP was very professional, knowledgeable and allows time for questions. Meds were filled within minutes of my visit.
