Phenomenal jazz music venue! Wonderful bartenders, grateful for this incredible opportunity to listen to such amazing jazz artists! We saw the Palmetto Bug Stompers, wow, just wow!
Stopped by here in August and paid a cover charge for $10 to walk into an almost empty space here. The jazz band performance was good but there were around 5-6 people in this huge club. We ordered a drink. The drinks were okay. I wonder why they charged us cover for an almost empty club. I recommend visiting other better jazz clubs instead of paying cover charges and sitting here.
Great music, awesome atmosphere and fantastic drinks! Not sure what else you could ask for but would absolutely reccomend this venue to anybody.
There was a great band playing there called Sunnyside. If in New Orleans, make a point to see this wonderful New Orleans Jazz Band. The Sax Player has mad skills. Bar is also pretty cool and they have Guinness on tap!
Great atmosphere friendly staff, Skylar you rock sweetie but heads up next time on that $14.00 beer.
Saw the legendary Little Freddy King play at d.b.a. last night. Service, music, and drinks were all amazing. Thanks d.b.a.
Great bar, great bands, decent drinks. Crowded and loud, as a proper jazz bar should be on a Saturday night. If you like great music, Frenchman Street is where to go.
The band was great, bartenders really nice, and it was even more fun amd the drinks were better at the Frenchman Street bars than on Bourbon. Although Bourbon St is still fun but smells like pee lol.
Absolutely perfect small music venue.
Great live music venue, with great service. Just wish they had a little more seating, so you can be comfortable and stick around a long time for the shows. Huge beer and cocktail menu, self-serve waters. We visited twice during our trip to N.O. and we really enjoyed the music as well as the people who were there to enjoy the music as well. The vibe in here is just great over all. The specialty cocktails we had were great - they were not overly sweet or overly worked like a lot of places are. It's not handicapped accessible, the bathrooms are upstairs, and they are gender specific.
