Friendly, helpful staff. Jen and her son both gave clear directions for a good day route. Loved the 27.5+ Cannondale Beast of the East they put me on.

Broke the chain of my REI Mazama Novara in SE Montana heading west to east on the Lewis and Clark trail. Had to hitch hike with the bike to the nearest bicycle shop. I had hoped there would be one in Glendive, MT, but that proved not to be the case. When the owners of Dakota Cyclery (Medora, ND) heard of my plight, they drove about 20 miles to the truck stop where I was stranded, and saved the day, replacing the chain right there on the asphalt parking lot. Dakota Cyclery goes above and beyond for their customers. They have earned all five stars, this review, and more.

The cable snapped on my Trek Madone and I was desperate to find a shop that could fix it. It broke when I was cycling in Bismarck but being Sunday I could not find a bike shop that was open. We drove to Medora and on the way I called Dakota Cyclery and explained the situation. Jen said to bring it in and they would fix it. I stopped by about 3 pm she was super friendly and helpful. They cleaned the bike and started working on it while we went to the motel. If you know the bike it is very difficult to change the cable as it is in the frame of the bike. Jen and here husband worked on it for the rest of Sunday and then 6 hours or so one Monday. They stayed with it and got the job done. I was so lucky to find such a dedicated shop that was professional, friendly and determined to help me out. I cannot praise them enough and I am not the type to praise! Whether you are renting a bike or need a repair I know that they are waiting to help you out!

Jen and Loren were super helpful, service was the best I have ever experienced at a bike shop. We did the MDH with their shuttle service and I ended up renting a bike since FedEx dropped the ball and delivered my bike 7 days late. Good people, very nice small town feel.

Very friendly staff that will help you with your problems or try their best to solve them. Into answering questions and not into taking your money like most LBS.
