The rooms were cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. The room was not clean. My wife moved a corner couch and it looked like there was animal droppings. Most of the outlets didn't work. The shower had gaps like the grout had come off the tiles in the shower. When you took a shower the water quickly pooled on your feet. The coffee maker looked dirty. The phone in the room didn't work to call anyone let alone the front desk. The house keeping would knock but they couldn't hear your answer because they had headphones on. The workers were moving furniture into adjacent rooms early by 8am. They were loud and slammed the furniture against our adjoining wall. The feet of the furniture were broken off and left in front of our door walkway. It has potential to be a nice place it just needs some renovations and better maintenance people. The ladies at the front desk were nice and no issues with them. All in all I will most likely never stay there again.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel, after reading these reviews. The room was clean. Nothing was broken. There were no pests. Our stay was fine. No problems with the room or staff. We only spoke with the guy at front desk when we checked in, and the maid when we were leaving, both of whom were polite and friendly.Rooms: 4/5
The staff was as friendly and helpful as humanly possible! Lizabeth was especially helpful she really acts like she cares about the guests and does an amazing job and always with a smile! There was another girl I think her name was Joanna but that doesn't seem right but that helped us several times very professionally. The entire staff was at all times perfect
This place is your typical motel that badly needs an update and cleaning. The decor is outdated and it's almost as if they pay no attention to the rooms themselves. I was there for 3 nights and ended up with a room with a double bed and decided to sleep in each bed - The sheets were never changed, just remade. I had surgery in August on my face and sometimes still bled from my nose and they did not even change the sheets, just remade the bed. The "breakfast" is usually consumed by the railroad workers staying at the hotel right at 6am and they do not replace anything as the time passes. The days I was there I was downstairs by 7:30am and there was only coffee and small sized Sunny D drinks. The woman at the front desk when I checked in was amazing but everything else about this place sucked.
Said pet friendly on google and on ads. After making reservations and arriving, they charged us an extra $25.00 for my 7lb emotional support animal. No where on the website or on google do they mention the extra charge. Do not stay here. Old and dirty.Service: 1/5
If I could give this place zero stars I will! This place if filthy and mice infested. I stayed here with my child and literally caught 3 mice on a trap because when I told them about the pro alarm all they did was bring me a trap. My daughter was also bitten up. I showed proof and asked for a refund to leave and they denied it. I wouldn’t recommend any one staying here unless you don’t mind pets in the room with you.
Be ready to search for a parking space since they use this parking as extra income to shuttle and keep vehicles for the airport as well. In a bit of a rough neighborhood. Needs retaining walls built to enclose the property for saftey. Tight turning in and out of property so be aware during high traffic time especially at night. All if the ice machines on all floors dont work. There is one in the lobby they put in for the restaurant-left of the info desk. Extreme props to putting up with and allowing the group we like to meet up with of around 100 people to meet and have great weekends each month. There should be a warning for those 2 days each month to other families that look to book there. over all property is not well maintained, cleaning is at a minimum, broken windows and room amenities are bare minimum. Carefull walking halls the floors are uneven in many places making it easy to fall with high hells and week ankles. Food menu looked amazing at amazing prices but they do not make it very inviting . They should offer room service from the restaurant. There is No steps going into the pool, I have never seen such a thing. This would be an extremely easy fix but poor management. Just go buy a block off steps an sit it down. You have to jump in and hope you are strong enough to climb out on latters that are over waist high to get up on. Not good for kids, elderly, or any type of impairment.
To start , I experienced blood stains in my unit's bathroom that was on the door to the bathroom that was unfamiliar to my DNA.see attachment In addition, I opened my suit case on the couch to get ready for bed to discover a forgin creature that did not travel with me, purched in my personal items... a ROACH! THIS IS SHOCKING AND UNACCEPTABLE! To make my experience even better at checkout with JAY ... she infomed me of your policy that I should have made a statement in the middle of the night stating your policy. I was not ok with this experience.
Poor customer service. When I travel to Hoover I always stay at the particular hotel. Never had an issue. But this last time was HORRIBLE! Went through Booking.com to purchase the room which was 135.00 . Get there front desk guy was nice and told me the room was only 85.00. Sunday when I checked out just leaving the hotel they charge my card 24.00 for 2 towels they claim I stole. I’m baffled. I will never steal especially towels! I check me, my mom and daughter bags to make sure. Didn’t see any towels. I was willing to come back to show proof! The supervisor with housekeeping knew I was coming back and she had left. But they deposited the 24.00 back in my account twice. But today without an call the manager took out 24.00 again without my knowledge. I didn’t mind for it to come out again because I figured it was mistake for 24.00 deposit into my acct. Manager told me I won’t get my 50.00 back because the front desk charge me wrong. I don’t want the money back. It’s the principle how the manager and front desk customers service is terrible! Especially making assumptions I took those towels. The manager didn’t let me speak as I was trying to explain. She said what she have to say and hung up on me. Not only that the floors were dirty and bathroom not clean. IF YOU GO THERE PLEASE ASK HOW MANY TOWELS SHOULD BE IN THE ROOM.
I've stayed here several times. This time I was treated somewhat differently as there is a new owner on the property. I first called the hotel directly like I usually did to reserve a room The rate they quoted me ended up being $200 more than what I found online. When I arrived in booked I was told that they had no rooms for me even though I had prepaid and the new owner attempted to upgrade me at a higher fee for a king size room. He then told me that I should pay more attention when I book my reservations. I informed him I'd been there several times and I had never been treated like this prior. After several back and forth s he gave me a king size bed instead of the queen I had booked. Couple of other observations I noticed from the last time I was there The shower water pressure was very low as it was hard to rinse the soap and ther was very little hot water. I do like the location because it's close to where my family is that I was visiting. The staff was still very friendly and helpful as they remembered my previous visits. I'm hopeful that as the new owner grows into his position he will learn that repeat customers is the lifeblood of his business.
