Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge

On any given night you can catch a rock or country show, or even the odd karaoke night here, and you can enjoy whatever entertainment they offer for cheap. The food is surprisingly good. The crowd is locals who have lived here all their life, musicians and songwriters, and hipster transplants from Los Angeles, New York and all points in between, all of them intermingled around a pool table.

Cocktail is not accurate description. When staff says "we have whiskey flavored whiskey" however looking for beer it's good. I was surprised how low my bill was. Staff was friendly and was clean. Parking isn't ideal during busy times.

Owner allows her employees to engage in racist behavior. Automatically took their side kicking one of my kindest friends out of their bar who did nothing wrong. Completely unacceptable.

Decent live music and 2 for 1 beer on a Wed night. Only complaint would be lack of servers to assist with the people not sitting at the bar. It took us a while before we.could get served at the bar. 2 people working behind the bar but one said they couldn't serve us had to wait for the bar tender. I will come back.to.check out the vibe again. Good ole Madison......

Check out Bluegrass Night on Monday's from 6 - 8. Arguably some of the best bluegrass musicians in town jamming out and acting like jackasses. Very fun and unique hang in Madison.
