Denson Liquor Bar

Everything you could want in a speakeasy! Cool downstairs entrance, nice and dark, intimate, beautiful tile and great colors inside. Loved the descriptions of the drinks, read like a an excerpt from a perfectly eerie book of poetry. Food was good, not over the top shelf, but tasty esp for a bar. My drink was complex, unique and delicious. One tip: don’t go with a large group, the seating is very tight!

Amazing drinks and surprisingly good food. The grilled cheese was really good. The mix of cheeses and the fig jam were a perfect combo. Also the drinks were good and liquor forward which I love. The wait staff were kind and even suggested some great off the menu drinks Going down the steps to find this place also gives it a speakeasy vibe which makes it even better

This was the first time going to Denson and I was not disappointed. The host and staff they have is very attentive. It was a little hard to find so word of advise, just talk the stairs down. We didn’t try to much for the food menu but we were told that the deviled eggs are the what there know for. They were on point. I don’t have deviled eggs often but they were great. The vibe was cool. There were a lot of people but it felt very private.

Underground speakeasy bar. The entrance is slightly concealed and you really have a white bulb with Denson written to identify the place. Look for stairs going underground on left side of road near the corner Loved this place, the bartenders are lively and chatty and place even more so. Reservation is definitely recommended but they have a relatively large bar area so impromptu availability is also there

It definitely passes the vibe check. The decor and dark wooden accents coupled with the dim lighting and rows of glistening bottles of liquor are just The foods they offer are perfect for a quick bite and a drink. No complaints about their vast drink selection, and I've only tried their grilled cheese and caviar bites which were great. It's simple but flavorful. I did see they offer a few small desserts that I can't wait to try next time.

Wanted to stop into a bar after a night tour of DC before heading back to our Airbnb. Happened upon Denson Liquor Bar - mightily glad we did! What a great little hidden gem! Friendly, personable staff, great drinks and service. Awesome cozy ambiance. Highly recommend

Was visiting DC and wanted somewhere for after dinner drinks on a Friday night. Found this place. A little hidden but worth the walk down. Cool atmosphere, nice vibe and mix of people. The bartenders were great. They both make a mean old fashioned! True mixologists.

In love with this bar, space and atmosphere. The staff was energetic and friendly, the drinks were literally SO good and the snacks we ordered were stellar. You have to stop by Denson ASAP!

The cocktails are spot on here and reasonably priced for the area. Cool aesthetic, felt like a a hot spot bar you'd find in NYC. I didn't try and food though

Go around the corner, down the stairs - easy to miss. Great spot. Great vibe, wonderful bartenders, and great drinks ... i mean what else do you need, be nice and you will be treated nicely Woke up in Miyazaki - cold, great starter summer drink for a Sochu style drink, mixed with matcha, and mahina de coco Maltese Swift - a take on a w-sour with blood orange and dry Curacao - you might think this drink is not strong but don't be fooled - that's the Curacao masking the Whiskey
