Stopped for a quick bite with an afternoon beverage and did not disappoint! Duck Empanadas, Street Tacos, and some very unique Margs definitely hit the spot. We sat upstairs in the "loft" area and had a fantastic view of sun over the water. Service, Atmosphere, and Food were all great!
Delicious unique food, super friendly service, great vibe. We got the duck empanadas and the tuna poke tacos—both amazing! Our cocktails were so beautiful and delicious too! Being from California I was hesitant to get Mexican food in New England… this place definitely isn’t traditional/authentic but was a great experience. Would recommend for open-minded eaters!
What an amazing experience and a must visit! The margaritas are fire, the Guac and 4 choices of salsa were out of this world, and the burrito was perfection. What a great place! Our waitress was the sweetest and super attentive. Make sure to try the Palomo drink !
Delicious food and lots of yummy choices for drinks. We went mid day with very little wait. But the line started forming later in the day on Saturday. Very speedy and friendly service. I’ve been here many times and dream of the guacamole as I cross the bridge on my way into Newport.
Great food! The street corn, mango tango and street tacos I got were delicious. Good place to grab a meal on the water if you don't want just seafood options. Highly recommended!
Not sure where to start, at the food, the drinks, the staff, the sunset view… all excellent. The ambiance at the bar upstairs at Diego’s is truly a chill vibe. Out bartender was so friendly, professional, & attentive. We had the traditional Standard Margarita and the Santa Baya cocktails and both were amazing. We started our food journey with the unique and delicious duck empanadas. 2 came in the appetizer order. Thank god! We thought we were prepared to share one, but we wanted so much more. It was amazing! Our dinner consisted of fried cod tacos and Korean bbq pork belly tacos which were both perfect. The pineapple & jicama salsa on the fish tacos as well as the spicy kimchi on the pork belly ones were perfect complements to the other flavors.
Diego's was the perfect brunch spot for a textbook perfect fall day. The vibe here is quirky and cool, with an eclectic playlist and decor to match. We had the hash and the torta from the bruch menu. The portions were satisfying without leaving us too full - and too tasty to try to keep for later. Our servers were attentive and helpful, answered questions about the menu and helped with recommendations. Our drinks were generous and a refreshing start to our weekend. Strolling along the wharf after our meal was just a bonus. We'll be back. Vegetarian options: Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options easily accessible. Kid-friendliness: worked really well with our toddler Dietary restrictions: gluten free
Diego’s crack fries pictured. I saw another pic online showing carne asada fries that the poster labeled as Diego’s Crack Fries so I was expecting that to be what I ordered LOL OOPS! Should have read the menu. My bad! They were still good, just not what I thought I ordered. Nachos were pretty average. Looked amazing in the pics on google. My kids quesadillas looked really good and was a great amount of food for little kids. Mom got the fish tacos and said they were good and my husband got the barbacoa burrito and said it was average. Service was good, staff was friendly, very cool place! Nice area and cool building! Slightly over priced for average food.
Food was amazing and we were happy with our order. Food is average priced.Service and staff were great and they had nice outdoor seating. Parking was a big problem as it was very hard to find paid parking especially over the weekends.
Great food. We got the food week special. It was dinner for two with a pitcher of homemade margarita! It was only $58 the whole thing! Yum
