Hotel was pretty nice. Room was clean and comfortable. AC was a little loud but not worse than many other hotels so I give it a pass. Bathroom is small, but the rest of the room was spacious. Nice views on higher floors. The reason I'm docking 2 stars is because I was told that they don't honor the Hilton Gold Food and Beverage credit on award points stays. That is not consistent with what the Hilton Honors program promises, and is bordering on false advertising, as the app showed me I would get the credit. As such, I didn't try any of the food options at the property. It is in walking distance of many downtown restaurants which is nice.
I have never given a bad review in my entire life. I just don’t think it’s worth my time. But I was extremely disappointed in this hotel. Decided to go with the Hilton Doubletree in Blllings because we had a very long drive and wanted to go with something “better.” Extremely disappointed. The carpets were very dirty, smelly and old. The air conditioner is very loud and rattling in metal boxes in the room and the walls look very institutional a brown painted brick. The toilet runs very loudly also. Worst night sleep due to air conditioner, honestly. The ice machine was broken, and the parking was all the way across the street in a very sketchy lot. The Wi-Fi also didn’t work. I have to say it wasn’t the cleanest room I’ve ever seen. Linens did not smell fresh. Needs some love with such an exceptional location and those beautiful views. Not worth the $$. Rooms: The rooms were not up to date, carpet smelled of mold and walls were drab.
Check in was delayed by over an hour and a half, completely ruining the plans I'd had for the very event for which I paid for my room. I was then disappointed to only be told that the breakfast buffet is NOT provided until the next morning. It was presented as if it we complimentary up until the last second. Poor service, and open dishonesty.
Always stay here for business. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food which also cooks for the bar on the first floor/Lobby. The shuttle service will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the hotel, but rememberto call the hotel to request it! DoubleTree is very close to the Billings Clinic and the shuttle will take you there too! Shuttle drivers are very friendly and great to chat with.
The hotel looks very classy on the surface. The lobby is nice and clean. The staff was helpful and nice. The parking garage that's attached seems safe and is reasonably priced. But the rooms were interesting. They were nice and had quality accommodations but they seemed to just be a little dirty. Walkability: The central location makes it close to a lot of things.
The Front Desk service is less then welcoming, which is surprising for a Hilton property. When I checked in I was treated with moderate amount of a Welcome, but questioned about my ID, which is unusual. Stacey, was the most redeeming person at the establishment, she was the server at the restaurant. What a very pleasant person. In the evening when I requested a bottle of water, it was like I was asking for an impossible task. In the morning when I asked for the location of the lobby coffee, I was told it was on the 29th floor in the restaurant, that their coffee shop wasn't open. Not a location I will revisit nor recommend!
A hotel without running water is inexcusable. The hotel DID NOT post notices or notify anyone staying there. Front desk said it was only a couple rooms and that they put notices under doors. This is a complete lie because I spoke to 4 different rooms in different parts of the hotel. No water and no notices. Not even on the elevators. There's really no excuse for this level of incompetence or lack of regard for their guests.
I am a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright the American architect that has influenced many designs over the years. This building is definitely a mid to late 1970s design beautifully crafted. A wonderful workmanship on brick and throughout building. I truly enjoy coming here and recommend to all. Things I would like to see changed would be walk in showers with glass doors multifunctional shower head. The garage little bit of a hassle so Don’t lose your parking ticket because they have to put a sticker on it in order for you to get out of the parking garage. that’s the only downside but a valet parking service would be fantastic but the area that is, Billings doesn’t call for something like that…… This is definitely a great hotel has great views from their 20th floor restaurant / breakfast area. A bar or Tavern on the first floor very nice place. And for anyone that is in the military, it has very good military rates in the folks here respect us. Rooms: Very simple yet a sense of elegance. Nearby activities: I have not done any activities around because I am here in business, but I can see just by driving around the hotel that there are many options available. Safety: I’ve only seen this in a few hotels where the actual elevator is secured with your room key. This way non-hotel guests cannot gain access to the floors! Fantastic feature! Walkability: From the parking garage, you can go into the hotel, buy enclosed sky bridge, and then take an elevator down to the first floor to check in. This might be much for people that have some difficulties, but there is an entrance for individuals to be dropped off at the front door. The parking garage also has handicap parking and an elevator to the first floor. Food and drinks: You do need to pay for your breakfast, but I feel that the value is very fair & the food was decent along with friendly staff and fantastic views of the city. Later in the day this becomes a restaurant where they have regular meals that you can order off a menu an pleasant waiting staff. Noteworthy details: Honestly, I guess I’m just a fan of the whole experience this hotel also reminds me of a place they stayed in Niagara Falls Canada same late 70s theme fantastic use of brickwork and a slight Aunt yet simple.
Parking lot is small not sure if this is temporary and not well signed. There was no room to park. Had to park in parking garage one block away. While staff was nice, they did not tell me about a $50 “hold charge” that would drop off if nothing else purchased. I had to go back to front desk to ask. Prices at Montana Sky restaurant do not match prices on OpenTable OpenTable shows lower pricing. Upon checkout, front desk attendant could not print out my receipt.
The room was nice at first glance but noticed areas that weren't wiped or cleaned in a while. The bed was very uncomfortable and the street noise was very loud, even with my room being up on the 16th floor. I did like the fact that you need your room key to get the elevator to move up.Rooms: 3/5
