Downtown Topeka Farmer's Market

Spring is finally here....Lots if fresh veggies and baked goods. I look forward to visiting the Amish vendors every weekend. Decided to try a pork shoulder from Stirring Soil Farms for done pulled pork this week!!

While still early in the season i managed to get a nice batch of homegrown produce for a lot cheaper than supermarket prices. Better quality too

I was impressed with the variety of different items available. It isn't worth driving 2hrs, but if you are in the area I would take the time to stop. We saw everything from woodworking to homemade honey to produce. The people were excellent to deal with and everyone had a smile on their faces. A group of minnonites had baked goods that were irresistible and very yummy. There was an older gentleman who built all sorts of wooden toys, doll houses to airplanes, something for any small child in your life.

Vendors have great produce at low prices, lots of handmade sweets and goods. Mexican truck is fantastic too!
