We go here once or twice a year to see what they have. Went here again 5/26/18. Takes less than 10 minutes to see the vendors. A few actually grow their own produce or plants to sell and others just buy boxed produce from food distributors and set it out to sell. Same stuff you can buy at a regular grocery stores and Oriental grocery stores. Not what I consider farmers market produce. There are a couple meat vendors that raise, butcher and sell their meats here(frozen). The best farmers market around is still the City market in downtown KCMO.

There are homegrown vegetables and other items, but these accounted for only half the products being sold. Two different vendors told me that "the green flags by tables mean that this vendor grew the product" from seed to product. I noticed that the vendors without a green flag were just as expensive as the others. This farmers market is not a place for a bargain, if you want want prices cheaper than the grocery. Dogs are not allowed at the Market. There were supposed to be activities for children, as advertised, but there were none.

A fun farmers market! Our family was in town for vacation and we decided to check this out. It is on the smaller side (we're from Des Moines) but still had so many great things including some tasty jerky. It was also cool that they have a small fountain for kids to play in and a cool downtown area with some small shops right on the other side of the market.

Loved it! I brought my daughter with me. They had Sunny from Kancare there. We started with some fresh baked goods from a local bakery, then worked our way down buying fresh asparagus, cilantro, carrots, green onions. We got some cheese from a local farmer, some homemade honey soap from a local bee farm, and ended with buying a beautiful basket of strawberries
Such a great warm environment. Nothing is better than contributing to your local economy!

Love love love this place. I've seen it grow over the years and I look forward to the continued growth. Lots of selection from local farms.
