Nice summer day for riding on the water to the Rockaways and back to the Bronx.I took the Sea Ferry for 4 bucks , good deal beautiful River ride .
Pretty to ride a bike along the East River below 14th street , across the FDR Drive , in the East River Park in nice weather . Winter is not really recommended though .
Very relaxing to take a boat ride
Loved it . Gorgeous night out with my man
Very peaceful, tranquil and beautiful view. Great place to visit and chill ... if u dont mind smellin' weed lol
Great views but often stinky
Beautiful views, especially for sunrises. A decent amount of river traffic, including tugs, cargo ships, pleasure boats, and a few ferries, traverse the river.
What can I say? The waterways around NYC are unique, splendid and historic. There are more than 2,000 bridges spanning all the waterways. The East River has 4 of the most iconic bridges including The Brooklyn Bridge. It also has the Roosevelt Island Tram which is also a one in a million sight to behold.
Great destination to visit, especially at night.
We love the East River...for all the life of our younger girl and almost all of the life of our older daughter, we've been looking out our 9th story window to witness the flow of the East River as it makes its way out to sea!!! I grew up on Balboa Island, SoCal and to be so wonderfully "held" by the water, on its way to sea is among the most serene and calming experiences one can possibly have. I feel so grateful to have had this as context to my existence--and to be able to offer this to my kids!!!!
