You really can't beat the views as the photos show - but there's so much more than sunsets that make Boston Lofts a fantastic place to call home! When we moved back to MKE from New York in 2015, we looked high and low to find the perfect place for us - and we've never been disappointed with our choice. The office team has always been spectacular - they are professional, efficient, organized, and kind. They do all they can to make our living experience a pleasant one - and they're as considerate of our two dogs as they are of us! The Club Room provides a great place to read, watch the game with friends, or work for a while - and the individual apartments are well-appointed and spacious. It's a perfect location - whether you want to walk to the museums, to any of the festivals on the Summerfest grounds, or to the new Fiserv Forum for a game or a concert. And the NEWaukee Night Market is right outside in the summer - while the Westown Farmer's Market is right on the corner, as well. If you want to explore all that MKE has to offer, while living right downtown in a place that makes you feel at home, you will likely love the Boston Lofts as much as we do!
Nice 24/7 community area w/ kitchen and rooftop patio! Secure underground heated parking. Beautiful modern style w/ incredible views. We lived in a 1 bed 1.5 bath corner apt for 3 yrs. CONS: -Untrained dogs that weren’t meant for apts. My fiancé was bit by 2 dogs. 1st bite - resident had trouble unlocking her door and dropped the dog’s leash where it ran at him and bit his hand. She couldn't control the situation, but put a muzzle on her dog following that event. 2nd time - waiting for the lobby elevator where the owner and dog exited the elevator as we walked in. Dog made a 180 with no reason to be triggered and bit my fiancé's leg, which needed a tetanus shot at urgent care. Management wasn’t helpful other than telling us who’s dog it was and pulling the camera footage as proof, but couldn’t figure out how to record a short clip if we had to bring suit. The city handled the situation since if a dog bite is recorded at any hospital/doctor’s office, it must be reported. Now 1.5 yrs later and he STILL has a dark scar from this deep bite on his calf. -Many false fire alarms due to construction below the apartments at all times of day. I was woken by alarms during the night more often than experienced in the college dorms. Then, the elevators wouldn’t work after alarms, so all residents had to use the stairs which was extremely difficult when most have pets. When they “test” fire alarms, they gave us notice of the day it would occur, but didn’t know what time which was difficult to plan on days I worked at home and had conference calls. -Inconsistent employees. It got to the point that when we moved, we didn’t know who managed the property since there was a new person at the desk every time we went to the office. No transparency with the residents. -I work at home 1 day/week, and once the internet was down. I went to the front desk to ask if their internet was working so I could determine if it’s an apt or building wide issue. Only the person at the desk was there and it wasn’t working for them either. They told me to call Spectrum to tell them about the building wide internet issue which is HER job to handle building concerns when management isn’t present. Since I actually wanted to do my job that requires internet, I called Spectrum. Just sad honestly. -I got stuck in the elevator! There were times when it overrided and slowly made its way to the top floor. No numbers on the elevator screen, just “—“. It was scary and took about 3 mins before pushing all the buttons let me out. There was always one elevator that was down very often. -Need more shopping carts - only 3 small and 1 large cart. Many times I came home from grocery shopping and there were no carts because people wouldn’t return them to the garage. -Sent several requests to fix the springs in our large windows, it’s impossible to open them for fresh air. They said the custom parts take months to arrive and only got 1 of 4 windows. When we filled out papers to move, they asked us to list pros/cons, we noted the maintenance that never occurred. When they saw that, they scheduled a request on our last week to fix the windows. We were frustrated they waited this long to make things right that we said to not to do it until we moved 3 days later so we didn’t deal with them coming while trying to move out. -Some residents didn't clean the grills so they were caked with grease and started a grease fire when we tried to heat it up for dinner. -Our half bath ceiling leaked that’s caused by condensation from the A/C unit. They cut a portion of the ceiling drywall out and installed a metal door to provide access to keep an eye on it. It continued to leak slightly around the door which truly has me concerned about mold. -If you live on the top floor w/ skylights, there’s noise! The rain is much louder on glass and kept me up at night. Also, seagulls LOVE the roof and act like roosters to wake you by squawking constantly. They also bring garbage such as aluminum cans that you hear rolling around.
The Boston lofts is a great place to live. The amenities are great along with beautiful floor plans. The location is ideal for any family that wants to enjoy all that downtown Milwaukee has to offer. All the staff members are very kind and respectable from management to maintenance. I am very proud to call the Boston Lofts my home.
Today I stepped inside Boston Lofts and it has surpassed all of my expectations. Abby the leasing agent was wonderful and accommodating. I have never met anyone so interpersonal that I could tell she actually enjoys what she does. The entirety of the loft smelled amazing, gorgeous lobby and interior design, and to top it off they feel like a family where they care for one another. This is truly a luxury apartment right in the heart of downtown!
Lovely management team. So patient, kind, knowledgeable, personable, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure all of your questions, thoughts/concerns are resolved. Abby is the leasing agent and she's phenomenal, if you're thinking of moving to Boston Lofts she will 100% make it a stress-free application to moving process. 10/10 i definitely recommend.
Moving our furniture into the apartment could have been a hassle. We were away from Milwaukee we had to quarantine in Mexico due to international immigration regulations. Abbie was instrumental in making our move easier, and coordinating not only with us, but with our friends & family. Her work ethic & excellent communication skills allowed us a seamless move in from a distance. We haven't had such excellent service in any other complex, anywhere in the world. The entire staff has been very accommodating for myself, my fiancé Bella, and our emotional support animal Beck. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to live in Milwaukee
A fantastic space in all possible aspects! The location is close to many of the center points that are great about downtown Milwaukee throughout the year but not so close that you can't enjoy a little quiet in your apartment. Nearby restaurants, sporting arenas, theater, bars and several other evening or weekend stops are an added bonus. The management team is amazing with great attention to details and always looking after the residents with a personal touch. The apartments are spacious and offer many options for making your place a home - the primary reason why I have called Boston Lofts mine for the past 5 years.
The staff is superb! Always friendly and more than helpful! Great apartments, parking facility, and amenities. A wonderful community to be a part of! Downtown attractions are within walking distance!
I have lived here for 3 years. The management is amazing. They are attentive to the residents needs. Any maintenance issues are dealt with almost immediately. Brian is available and personable to all the residents, even after hours. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and cannot imagine moving.
Excellent on-site management staff which was very responsive and welcoming. The heated garage parking was fantastic and secure. Beautiful rooftop patio. I really enjoyed living here during my time in Milwaukee.
