Good size for a museum downtown. There’s a lot of information and interesting exhibits. I ended up spending a couple of hours. Definitely worth the $5 admission for adults.

An awesome museum for learning everything about East Tennessee history. It's great value, the exhibits are really well put together and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I'm from the UK and don't have the same level of US history knowledge as many visitors but I really enjoyed it and learn't a lot. Recommend it if you're in Knoxville.

Great place to learn of the history of eastern Tennessee. Loved the old time apothecary, as well as the section on music... Nice small gift shop, clean restrooms... Well worth the price

ETHS is truly a gem for Knoxville and East Tennessee. The facilities are great with a wonderful museum, and the staff is friendly and very professional. They continue to offer outstanding research and educational programs.

Excellent exhibits, the people were very friendly, and did their best to answer any and all questions. Very affordable, gives a senior citizen discount, too.
