Terrible place, do not send your children, my daughter was treated terribly and did not get the help we so desperately needed for her. people in charge were rude, unprofessional, and dehumanizing to both children and families. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I work here and I love what I do one meal at a time to recovery
Eating Recovery Center is a wonderful organization to work with. We are pleased to have partnered with Eating Recovery Center!
Revolving door. Care about profit only. There are so many ERCs in Denver because the laws in Colorado allow you to hold someone against their will indefinitely if you think they are a danger to themselves. Having low BMI counts as evidence of that. My friend got sicker upon arriving at ERC - he was greeted by "long timers" who told him about the law and that they had been held against their will for literal years because their insurance was still paying. Nurses skipped benzos for a day because inconvenient to them to get on Sunday, were generally short tempered and rude and did not get the correct food for his body EDS -connective tissue, did not have ED and so were forcing him to eat food that caused him physical pain and said they "were going to order it." Three weeks later, they had not succeeded in something that could be done in a day in a grocery store. They tortured my friend. He was transferred here from ACUTE, which is a good place and should have known better. He ended his life soon after leaving this place and I watched him go downhill during his time here. They did not treat him with dignity, including not having male nurses for the bathroom, even, due to understaffing. I hope and pray that the people at ERC who treated my friend this way get the help they need but I am sure they are underpaid look at their glassdoor and are just passing on the abuse they receive from corporate. So, in conclusion, I hope ERC corporate rots in hell.
The showers have literal mold growing in them, not to mention the water from the shower is white. Staff is very rude as well.
I highly recommend ERC Denver, especially Pine. The staff are amazing and they truly care about each and every patient. It all comes down to the patient being willing to surrender and trust their treatment team. They do know what is best for their patients, obviously we did not otherwise we would not have needed the care. It all comes down to trusting them and surrendering.
From everything from the medical care, the therapy, the empathy from the staff, the family support I.e., Family Days, Family Sessions, my loved one’s team, the teaching, the re-entry plans, the communication, the customer service, and the overall care; the ERC has been instrumental in the health and well-being of my loved one from a recovery perspective. I am forever grateful for the ERC and the role they have played in the recovery story for me and my loved one.
