El Carajo International Tapas & Wines

I love going to El Carajo every morning on my way to work! The food is always good, the coffee is excellent and the staff is always upbeat and pleasant. I especially enjoyed the music that used to play all the time. The ladies would have salsa playing in the background and it gave the atmosphere so much life. It particularly made me extra happy to go to work. I noticed that that changed to elevator music now. It feels like I’m in Publix; I can’t stand that music, it sucks the MIA out of Miami. Besides that detail, the place is great! An employee even helped me bring my to-go bag into the car since I was carrying my infant.

Gas station sushi? I don't think so... Gas station tapas? Yes please! it was my first time at the restaurant, and I have to say that I was surprised that it shares space with a gas station, but once you walk inside you see that this is a serious restaurant wine bar. we shared a couple of appetizers and a plate of oxtail with a glass of the house wine. All the food was quite good, the oxtail was both savory and a little sweet. The garbanzos had sausage and ham with just a hint of salt, it was just right. I'll definitely be back. 🍴 🍷

One of the greatest restaurants in Miami, food is fantastic and great varieties of wines. Don't be skeptical because is located inside a gas station, once you are in you will feel like you are in Spain. Strongly recommend!! I will definitely come back soon!

Love this hidden gem. You walk through a gas station convenience store to find this restaurant in the back. Food is so good and ambiance is great as you dine among wine bottle filled walls. I come here often!

We have been to El Carajo several times in the past. We have always enjoyed the food but the service was always so-so. Well, we went again last night, with a party of 6, and had a new female server, Oneida (hope the spelling is close). She was fantastic!! She picked out the wine for us when we couldn't decide and did a great job with a beautiful, reasonably priced bottle. We ended up drinking three bottles. We also asked her to surprise us with some of the tapas that maybe she felt we didn't try but should, and she didn't disappoint there either. But again, the food has never been the issue, just the service. She is very attentive, pleasant and professional. They need more like her. We will be back.
