El Grito Taqueria

Where Madison goes for gourmet tacos. There's usually a line, but the wait is worth it to get some of the best tacos in town. The horchata is divine was well. I highly recommend checking out this food cart!

Each taco was unique and tasty. They also always have a vegetarian taco offered. The hibiscus cooler was very good as well. Great spot!

I planned to have El Grito Tacqueria at our wedding. We booked them over a year out and were super excited. We discussed the minimum order and taco prices. I planned. I budgeted. And then 6 months before our wedding, they raised their minimum by double and increased their prices. With the size of my wedding and having already booked two food carts, I knew we could not possibly meet their minimum anymore and it was way above our planned budget. I was very dissapointed in their unprofessional behavior and that we would no longer be able to serve tacos at our wedding. If you book them for your event, make sure you make them sign a contract with prices and and minimum order.

These tacos are the real thing, and about the closest that I have come to "authentic" Mexican flavors in Madison. Today I had 1 of each, a roasted cauliflower, pork shoulder and brisket. And they were as delicious as they looked. These guys are professional, personable and will talk with you to help you figure out what you want to order. Don't forget their agua frescas, they hit the spot.
