I had high expectations for this place after hearing rave reviews from coworkers. Well I can say the beef fajitas, beans, rice, and unsweetened tea were excellent. Just like I had back home in San Antonio. BUT the flour tortillas were awful. How can you claim to be authentic when the tortillas are store bought? Handmade flour tortillas are thicker and you'll have a little leftover flour on your fingers when you touch them. Three stars is the best I can give to 80% authentic El Loro.

This is THE Mexican restaurant of the Twin Cities. Crazy good food. We ALWAYS eat here when we are up north. Except last year, we forgot about it. Then that one time in the summer, we forgot. Again. Am I forgetful or just always drunk ?? 🍸🍹🍺🍻 Seriously, this place is way cool. Fast and friendly service. 🌮🌯🍺

Service was horrible. The host just started walking to a table no word to follow like I was suppose to know to follow him. Out server was less than pleasant and treated us like we there a huge inconvenience

This restaurant was a nice friendly authentic Mexican place that is in a stand-alone building. There is a bar area and regular dining room. We were seated in the bar area, which was comfortable enough. The food was tasty and the bill was appropriate for or orders.

Wide menu and some items are good others are just ok. Grilled steak and chicken - very good. Salad, not as good. Drink portions are ample and price is very reasonable. Service is friendly. Wait time will depend on how full the dining room is.
