Hubby and I ended up going here 4 times in February alone! We're hooked on the quick and satisfying breakfast. Pleasant and prompt service. Finally tried lunch and loved that, too. We were fans of Karl's and are so happy to still have this same location in historic downtown. It was a great idea to keep many of Karl's menu items. Thank you El Mexican!

This is the best Mexican food in Hastings right now. I have tried a few different dishes and I am impressed every time. I love that they have a breakfast menu too. Prices are affordable as well.

Really great Mexican food for a reasonable price. Good selection and lots of seating (I went there for lunch during a weekday afternoon). Service was fast and good. Definitely a hidden gem.

Had the steak tacos (Orden de Tacos). They were very tasty. The medium spicy sauce has a nice fire roasted flavor note, very good.

Best breakfast in town. You need to come here. Dont go anywhere else for breakfast. Seriously I didnt want to stop eating it was soooo awsome !!!!!!!! We all need to keep this place in buisness.
