It was inspirational and the staff are knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. The gift shop has some great one of a kind, albeit expensive, treasures. The place is so clean you could eat off the floors. The exhibits are beautifully displayed. And the bathrooms are immaculate . All in all is was very a pleasant experience.Visited onWeekday

A definite must-visit. I chanced upon the special exhibition ESTAMOS BIEN, featuring LatinX artists and it was mind-blowing. The curation was thoughtful. Added plus: admission to the Museo also gives you admission to the Museum of the City of New York.
Such a wonderful and amazing place to take your kids. This museum has art work from kids all around the cities. They come together to make beautiful art, with sculptures, paint, materials, and all sorts of art materials for them to love and share. My kids had an amazing time being apart of the program and enjoying the view, show and food there. Such a family oriented space, and amazing views. We Loved it!
My first visit to this wonderful museum. Had a great time
Excellent exhibit! Have visited twice before and this time they shared admission with the NY museum across the street
The space was disjointed… The ongoing exhibits Struggle to connect with each other… Clearly the artwork on display lacks cohesion and integration within the environment that the Museum claims to represent; The installation of the artwork is also haphazard… And seemingly suggest an amateur‘s Attempt to look sophisticated… for example… 6 to 7 “remnants“ of Taino stonework juxtaposed against the current exhibition seeking to amplify a contemporary connection of indigenous culture; there is a sparse “paper“ exhibition suggesting a nexus between the posters/writings/articles with the contemporary exhibit… but What it does demonstrate is a disconnect… There is no nexus! A sad sad sad… Real sad… Attempt to amplify the importance of art and the human condition! Not worth the nine dollar suggested price… Money better spent at a bodega, for example, a soda and a sandwich… It’s been an hour since I left the museum and my heart still aches… Enough said.
Small museum, but filled with a lot of beautiful artwork. I was told by a staff member that the artwork changes often, so there is always something new to see. I really enjoyed it, I will return. :
I always enjoy my visits to El Museo del Barrio. Every New Yorker should put this place on their calendar so we understand and acknowledge the many contributions and influences to our culture. Music, art, food, and so much more.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
