Elmcroft has been home for my mother in law for 2 1/2 years and my aunt for 5 months. As a nurse, I will attest to the fact that there is no perfect place for our loved ones away from home. But in a perfect world my 88 year old mother in law would not suffer from dementia nor my 93 year old aunt suffer physically OR I could offer the 24/7 care myself. The staff at Elmcroft have treated my family members with nothing but compassion and respect and go out of their way to make them feel special. I know this because I see my mother in law reach out to hug them and hear my aunt tell how they patiently help her shower and take the time to rub her back. The staff is always curteous to us and keep us informed of what's going on. They offer activities to keep them engaged as well as nice events for the families. I can rest knowing my family members are safe, content, and are getting the attention I am unable to offer them on a daily basis.

In my opinion, if your loved ones need more than just 1) someone to hand them their medications, 2) remind them it is time to eat 3) a roof over their heads--- do not go to Elmcroft. Staffing is inadequate. It has taken Elmcroft over 5 months to hire a Director of Nursing and the RN in charge has only retained her RN degree over the past few months---facts!! I have reported them to the State several times. Nothing much changed. Most insincere management I have ever come to know!!! We left!!

DO NOT PUT YOUR PARENTS IN THIS FACILITY. There appears to be NOONE in charge. They have shuffled me & my bothers around . Can’t get a straight answer. That’s the only thing they do well there. Both my parents are now on their death beds after just 3 weeks. They don’t care about the patients they just want the money. I can attest after being there day after day the care is way below anything I’ve ever seen. I was even told by one of them they wouldn’t bring their parents there. Guess we need to have this place looked over good by the state . It is horrible how this all came about. They tell them to push the button they give them when they admit them. It took me FOUR pushes the morning I went in my fathers room and he was on the floor. I couldn’t lift him and push the button 4 times before they came in. Then it was an inconvenience for them. He was suppose to get physical therapy- never happened. He never ate a meal there.

It is a nice place however, I put in my two weeks notice at previous job to work here. I did everything I was suppose to do the Friday before I was suppose to start I get a call that there was not enough hours and such. They hired to many people. This left me in a bad position.
