I don't know what happened with most people here but mine was lighting fast and super easy! I don't really care what number they use, personal or work office as long as I get what I want. Renewal passport and have it a next day via FedEx, $220 total through credit card! Everything through text messages and emails, super convenient and can be done anywhere you are. Yes it is much more easier and faster when you renew the passport in Viet Nam.
It’s hard to get in touch with anyone on the phone. And I called ALL of them. No answer. Full voicemail. No extra information on how to get in contact. The website lack information on fees and processing duration. The link to the application doesn’t lead you to the application. I had my 5-year visa done through the embassy before. Now I needed to renew and the ways to do it is confusing because I don’t know how much it’ll cost. I don’t want to risk mailing my passport and not get it back. It saddens me to see this is how the Vietnamese embassy is treating the Americans and other Vietnamese Americans.
We live in Denver and mailed the embassy for our Visa. 1 The fees are not published 2 when you call nobody answers and the message tells you to email 3 when you email they respond telling you to call 5 they have been holding our passports for 3 months and we cannot get a single word of useful help - we provided everything the asked for on their website. Beyond frustrated, becoming furious.
If I could give them a 0 I would. I applied for a visa exemption weeks ago. I sent in passports, birth certificates, copied documents, pictures, and the check which if you check on the website that’s connected to the application, it’s $10 but I sent $20 before seeing that because on other embassy website it stated $20. I leave to Vietnam in under 2 weeks and I cannot reach them. I have tried calling, emailing, texting their hotlines. I emailed all the emails linked to them on their website and on the visa exemption website linked to them. One email wasn’t even registered and the other two never replied. I went beyond and emailed this situation to all the other embassy in hoping they can reach washington. Still nothing. If you cannot process the application due to an error or cannot process in time, atleast notify us or mail us back our passport. Without my passport I will not be able to travel. This is beyond unprofessional of them. Not one working number and email. The price isn’t even on the website, you have to dig for it.. I suggest you guys try another embassy location because I don’t even know if this one is real or a SCAM
Hands down the WORST embassy service in the world. All their phone numbers ALWAYS don’t work. They have five phone numbers and I called all of them for several weeks for hundred times and never worked. Their consulate in NYC does the same worst job. No phone connection at all. People work here are SHAME of Vietnam seriously and feel so sorry for Vietnamese people living in American as they can’t expect any help from their own embassy.
Couldn’t be better. I went on a Monday morning for passport renewal, service was quick and easy, people were friendly. Received my new passport in the mail 3 days after.
Awful service. Seems like know one works their and all their numbers either go to voice-mails that are full or not even set up. If you're lucky and get some like in the legalization section their rude and very disrespectful. They appear to not have any type of fileing order and are poor at responding to emails, voice-mail and any question you might have. I would suggest getting your work done else where if possible.
Very unprofessional , never pickup or answer phone call/email. Hold your passport for over a month than return with out issues visa or respond to your request
Gosh, I know why the review is so bad. I called during work hours no one answer and the auto message was a messed!!! Called hot line and talked to a very rude guy, basically yelled at me on the phone. The website has no where to find out visa fee! Do it better jeez!
I was charged $110 "stamping fee" for a business visa. When I arrived in Vietnam, my employer told me I shouldn't have had to pay anything. Complete scam
