Emmy's Original Pancake House & Grill

This is a local place in a strip mall. It is usually pretty busy. The service was quick. I had eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes. All was very good and plenty of food. My daughter had French toast and bacon. She also said it was good. My husband had a skillet. He said the hash browns could have been cooked a little longer but the flavor was good. We all had hot tea and our bill was a little over $40.

Great experience. Really busy Saturday morning but they got us in really quick. Our biscuits and gravy, burger, strawberry pancakes, and chicken fried steak were good. Will most likely come back soon.

The 5 stars are for the good and service. Melissa was our waitress, and she was helpful and attentive without being obtrusive. I had a waffle and soft scrambled eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the waffle was great. The only negative was the restroom. The handicapped stall was out of order, and the rest of the restroom didn't feel clean. Go for the food and service; wait til you get home for the rest.

I recently visited the place and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked to perfection - they were some of the best pancakes I have ever had. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from, and I particularly enjoyed the blueberry pancake special. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable. The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure that our experience was enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. Overall, I highly recommend this pancake place to anyone looking for delicious pancakes and great service.

We wanted to try a different breakfast spot out. On out way to some weekend events and needed to order take out. It took awhile for us to get take out service. It was like that just wasn't a regular thing people wanted. Everyone else was dining in. Completely understandable, but kinda off-putting for someone that's never been to Emmy's before. The food was good, had great home-cooked flavor. I can't say we will be regulars because we normally don't have time to sit down for breakfast. Ironing out a takeout process would bring us back more for sure.

Arrived on Saturday with a 10-15 minute wait and was given a pager. Short wait and table was ready but owner said couldn't be seated until all party present. Party of 4 3 adults and toddler 2 adults present and other adult and child a few minutes away. While waiting for their arrival, noticed several other incomplete parties being seated party of 10 and 5 only half party present and they were seated. I politely asked the hostess about my observations and why we could not be seated, she apologized and advised this was the manager's rule. The manager/owned approached so I restated what I just mentioned to her to which he told me to have a seat and wait for all my party to arrive and that these are the rules. When asked why the rules are not being followed consistently, he raised his voice and again told me to have and seat and he's not playing with you people. I knew at this point I would NEVER step foot back into this restaurant and sat the pager on counter and walked out. Went to Ricky's on 267 and had a much better experience and food and service was great! Owner/Manager rude and disrespectful. There is another review last year on him acting same way. Too bad I didn't see it before I waisted 30 minutes of my time. Take your business elsewhere and support other small business in Hendricks County...go to Ricky's.

Had to wait about 15 mins for a table, super busy. Worth the wait. Got a skillet with chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was fantastic. Very accommodating as far as special requests. Coffee was fresh. No burnt taste and not watered down. Has sugar free syrup. 10/10Food: 5/5

I really like breakfast food and it’s hard to find a place that always gets it right. Every time I come here, the food is WONDERFULLY made! Their pancakes are delicious! Service is awesome and very fast even when there is a wait. This is my new favorite breakfast spot. Highly recommend!
