If my work schedule permitted me to go to every single one of Kristi’s yoga classes, I would, hands down. She is a FANTASTIC instructor who constructs a perfect flow that allows you to get a hell of a workout while staying focused and centered on the mat. And she gives very clear & precise cues that is ideal for all stages of yoga practice, especially beginners! The gym itself is really cool. It’s a pretty compact structure but it allows you to get in/out efficiently without all the distractions you tend to encounter at bigger gyms. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. I haven’t taken any of the high intensity workout classes yet, but they’re always packed so I can only assume people like them!
I love their HIIT 60 class! 60 minutes fly by and you get an incredible workout. I know they'll whip me into shape soon!
This review is coming from the person that doesn’t like working out, but Empower Fitness has made working out enjoyable and challenging at the same time. The HIIT trainers are so helpful and make sure you are doing the workouts correctly. The music is great, which helps you keep motivated during a difficult workout. The spin and yoga classes are amazing too, which helps with the recovery of your body. Definitely recommend this place.
Absolutely love this gym! The instructors are super friendly and helpful! Yoga and HIIT are my favorite classes and I’ve definitely felt stronger since signing up. I look forward to seeing the smiling faces at the front desk and in the classes!
I love the workouts. The staff is so friendly. It’s very clean. I went in to downgrade my membership and they did not hassle me. I really enjoy this place. Once my travel calms down I will upgrade my membership. The only thing that I would like to see improved upon is the class schedule. I don’t wake up very early and work at night. So, some days I don’t have any class options because there are none during the afternoon. Overall: Great experience. This is one of the best ways to get in shape and have fun doing it!
I tried Empower Fitness Lab for the first time and never regret it. The staff at the front desk is sweet and very helpful, she then gave me water, towel and reserved me locker. They also had a bar here where anybody can have coffee and snacks before going home. I like instructor John who is teaching the Yoga class, he is nice and very professional.
I love this gym : I don’t have to think about my workouts and there is so much variety with each class and style of workout that you never have to worry about being bored. Always clean, staff is super friendly and kind, and all of the trainers are great! Best gym I’ve been to in a while.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the workouts, and a few trainers in particular, I cannot speak positively about management and communication. I signed up during the new location “founders” promotion, which I was told would be for a discounted price and would include the heart rate monitor. However I never received the discounted price, was charged the full amount, and had to pay extra for the heart rate monitor. To be honest, the only reason I signed up for a membership was because of the amazing offer they convinced me I was getting. Each time I went to a workout class, I asked if they offered a discounted monthly price for teachers, members of the armed forces, etc. as most gyms do. I was told there was no such discount every time I asked. Then I found out that a teacher friend of mine had been receiving a significant teacher discount for months. When I mentioned it to the front desk employee, he told me that I could’ve had the discount the entire time. When I decided that the workouts and location were not worth the money I was paying each month, I cancelled my membership. Months later I found out they were still charging my card! After multiple emails and phone calls, I just found another charge on my card for this month. The communication is absolutely horrible! There have been so many errors with billing. And most of the original trainers have left. I would not recommend joining based off of those issues alone. It’s not worth the mess.
Absolutely love this place! Went Tuesday August 6th for the first time to the HIT45 class with Madeline returned back the following day to the 8:00 pm class at the Heights location. The location is excellent, very friendly staff, great music, there is lockers on site, showers, a filtered water fountain in addition to excellent vibes and an awesome workout. I decided to purchase a membership and just tried out their hit60 class that included boxing, cardio and strength training. A must try! Come and check them out I promise you won’t be disappointment!
I love that I will never get board here. If I feel like killing it with a HIIT class I can. If I feel like getting into a zen place and a much needed stretch they offer yoga and if I feel like riding I have the choice of several cycle classes. The staff is friendly, the music is good and the workouts fly by due to some of the best trainers I have come across in this big city. Its free your first time, I say go for it.
