Our experience with NEFATC has so far been wonderful. Joanna is the office manager and she is very patient and communicates what is needed prior and she is very welcoming when entering the office. Dr. Lee and Janina NP were very reassuring, kind, and knowledgeable throughout our first appointment. Our nurse Joanna was extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and accommodating during a long appointment. She was great. I would recommend NEFATC to anyone who has food allergies and is trying to lead a normal life.
Doctors and nurses are fine. Medical treatment is fine but their billing department is horrible. You get charged left and right. The person in billing sits remote so there's no way to reach out as she never picks up the phone nor return any calls.
I just read the previous review. I feel myself have similar experience so I want to put it down. Doctors and nurses are nice. The billing is awful. It’s difficult to reach the person who works remotely, not usually pick up the phone and doesn’t reply messages promptly. In the middle of our treatment, they added $50 monthly dose supplies fee, which I still felt okay. Right before pandemic, they added a $95 completely new procedure charge for each up dose visit in additional to the regular desensitization charge which never appeared before without any previous notice... I was in shock when I saw the bill. It's not a small change and we had 7 more visits before complete the program. Not to mention, the rates went up again after another 6 month. When I called and asked the billing person, she replied expenses go up and they are allowed to do so. I understand inflation and pandemic that people need to survive their business, but haven't seen a doctor office increases the rates so aggressively and frequently. I feel I have no choices but only pay whatever they charge me.
The medical services is fine. Whoever, it is the 1st office where I feel they are in for the money. I frequently got charged extra, every so often I will show up at the office and they had a new charged for whatever reason. Many times they had to refund me money Over $800 because they will say I had to pay for something that my insurance would pay. I Was very specific about some docs I didn’t want to see because my insurance wouldn’t cover and many times they would schedule me with them and had to pay extra I was paying over $50 per month for supplies on top of my deductible $29 per visit. They make sure insurance wouldn’t pay, they never had a person to talk when it came to billing. They contracted someone out of the state and if you have a question you call the office and they pass the message to “Phillys” and she will call you back. Well I’ve dealing with a bill for the past year and I can’t never call the billing department. They bill the wrong insurance company and they want me to pay over $2000 even though the insurance company keeps telling me they bill them wrong. But there is no way I can speak with someone, I have to wait until someone calls me. Well…. Clearly that is not happening. I just feel all they want is money, money money. The nurses are amazing but the bottom line is when it come with billing and payments, they are terrible. My advice is before you go. Call your insurance company and make sure in your end you know how much you will pay and be ready to get prices raise without previous notice and there is no way to argue because all I got was. Well things get more expensive. I see many other doctors and none of the practices I visit are as money hungry as this one.
Professional, knowledgeable, kind. Family member went thru successful peanut desensitization during the pandemic and we couldn’t be more pleased. Never had issues with billing or front desk.
Egg Allergy. We went for egg desencitization for my daughter. She is eating now all egg products w/o any issues. this is huge relief for my daughter after syuffering for 11 years. it worked out really well and on top of that she was able to eat few fruits banana, Water Melow, Oranges. she never eat these fruits before.
I called to inquire if they accept the insurance that I have and the receptionist hung up on me. When I tried calling back I didn't get an answer
NEFATC is the best of the best. They are so careful, they know what they're doing, and OIT makes all the difference.
