Overall an excellent experience renting from this location! Great car that was clean, tented for the hot New Mexico sun and fully gas upped. It took my boyfriend and I from the city to the mountains with a very smooth ride too. Friendly and accommodating staff at the location which was great! The only opportunity comes from the waiting for the car to be ready and waiting about 23 minutes for the airport shuttle after 12AM. I would recommend this location for your car rental needs! Do it advance if possible to secure a vehicle in time.
Worst experience ever. Rental started to break down 1/2 hr after renting it. $1700 dollar rental. Brand new suburban truck. Called 8 people asking them to bring us a new truck in Santa Fe, due to having them, not have safety checked the vehicle before renting it to by family. I went through 16 people I talked to, 4 managers and 3 of these individuals hung up on me as I could seemingly not get it across that they towed the truck and we simply needed to have a vehicle brought to us in Santa Fe. No manager ever called to make sure we were ok, even after I left a message at the main place we rented the vehicle from. When we tried to get a new vehicle in Albuquerque, the rental person noticed a small crack in the dark area of the lower right hand corner of the window. He checked their system and because they didn’t list it as previous damage, said he wouldn’t rent us a vehicle unless we filled an insurance claim and showed him. We have multiple witnesses who could account for us not damaging the vehicle and the would still not help us. I waisted 2 days of my 8 day vacation trying to fix the situation. The second vehicle they got us was broken too. The back left tire was loosing pressure even after we fully filled it..the back trunk auto hatch that was supposed to be controlled by the key fob was broken. We left Albuquerque Sunday and no one has yet to even discuss the worst customer experience I have ever had. Edit: to respond to the post below for everyone to see. To enterprise; I’ll write a much more through email to my attorney with dates, times, phone logs, emotional consequences of being ignored, lost daily family vacation and emotional distress I endured. The He/she can write you the email. How’s that sound? Very caring blurb you write though just to show people her how much you “care”.
It was so easy to reserve a car through the Enterprise app on my phone, see what cars were available, and how much they cost. Customer service at the Albuquerque airport office was great! David B. at the exit kiosk leaving the lot was wonderful! He was so friendly and very helpful! We loved the car we were given Jeep Grand Cherokee and the return process was great-even when we needed to make our return after hours at another location than our original drop off location. This was the first time I used Enterprise and was very happy with my experience and I would definitely use Enterprise again.
I love the service that I receive at Enterprise. They greeted me by name and had an upgrade for me which was delightful and unexpected. I was able to pre-check-in the day before which expedited the pick-up of the vehicle. The return of my vehicle was quick and efficient, what you hope to happen at an airport location. Chad greeted me with a smile and by name. He asked about the experience with the vehicle and asked if they provided great service, which they did! Enterprise will continue to be my rental car company of choice. Thank you to all at the Albuquerque Airport location, you are top notch!
We really had a good experience at the ABQ airport Enterprise. The two gentleman there on the morning of 12/27 were fantastic. Very kind and helpful even after a busy holiday weekend and high last minute demand for cars with the Southwest meltdown. They handled everything promptly and with great customer service. The rental car worked well, no issues. Thank you for helping us drive home!!
When we arrived the car wasn’t ready, but Josh took good care of us and put us in a vehicle as soon as possible. Strong customer service overcompensated the wait. Within 30 miles of driving, we received a notification that the tire pressure was low, and so we had to find assistance during monsoon season. Got it fixed no problem they should do a tire check before lending. Rental manager, Stephen C. Was really fantastic when we heard what we went through. Definitely a repeat customer
Staff was great, very polite and full of giggles. Vehicle choices were slim by the time we arrived late and I ended up with a much nicer SUV than expected. Perfectly clean and even with a scuff or two on the outside they were on top of checking the vehicle over. Would absolutely rent here again.
I was really disappointed with the rental policy at this location. The employees at the front desk and the manager handled the situation very professionally and I put none of the blame on them. The policy in question is one that states same day reservations MUST have proof of a return flight. I booked a reservation Sunday morning with intentions of returning the car Sunday evening. I did not have a return flight because I was renting the vehicle for a day trip in the area. The sign on the desk said that reservations paid for with debit cards needed to have proof of a return flight. I had a credit card and asked why I still couldn't book a reservation. They said that same day reservations made with a credit card also needed proof of a return flight. There was absolutely zero mention of this at any step of the booking process. I would've booked from another location other than the airport but it was Sunday and every location besides the airport was closed. In other words, if you want to book a vehicle for a day trip on a Sunday, enterprise is not an option. I wish they would have made this more clear in the booking process so I didn't waste money on Ubers to and from the airport. Please consider changing the policy to allow same day rentals from the airport location without proof of a return flight.
The level of service you can expect from this place is wildly variable. And the prices aren’t much to write home about. The other day, Saturday, my flight was delayed and I could not pick up my reservation from another company. After explaining my situation to the enterprise desk clerk and requesting a one-day rental, the clerk refused to rent me a car because he “needed all my cars on Monday.” Only after reserving the same car I had asked for via the app instead of from the desk clerk did this clerk grudgingly rent me a car. Then, after the first round of horsefeathers at the desk, when i got to the lot, the car I got was a high-mileage, visibly damaged clunker for a princely sum. In short, these people seem like petty tyrants who enjoy making people squirm.
At pick up I was disappointed with the car that was waiting for me. I requested an SUV to fit a large group as this was a business trip and was given a mid size SUV with no option to upgrade and very unfriendly customer service. The 3 stars was earned because my drop off was very pleasant and helpful.
