Esaan Thai Restaurant

Good food. Nice environment. The tea was a little heavy on the condensed milk for my personal taste, but still very enjoyable. The Pad Thai could use a higher meat to noodle ratio, but the flavor was lovely. And their crispy spring rolls were super tasty. I will definitely be returning.

5 STARS TO GET YOUR ATTENTION: Over a span of a few months I’ve patronized Esaan and have never really felt welcomed. It’s about the money here and that’s made known through their pricing and reluctance to even offer condiments or plastic cutlery as you leave. I understand the small quaint nature of the atmosphere but it’s pretty obvious that the bottom line here is the money and that’s sad. Today I was informed that the food that I’d ordered might spill because of the faulty container in which it was served so I asked for an extra plastic bag so that it wouldn’t spill in my car instead of being given one I was told how to hold the single bag and I had to assert myself in a manner that I’m not used to for an additional plastic bag. $42.00 for two fried rice and a curry rice isn’t worth the wait time or customer service next time I’ll travel east to Markert St and enjoy the Thai food there!!!

The service was wonderful, and the food was delicious! Esaan is BYOB. The resturant was small, but the atmosphere was nice. It is the perfect place to have a romantic date or gather with a group of friends for a nice dinner.

This was my third stop here and as usual I was impressed. The staff is super friendly and very helpful explaining things on the menu. They always make recommendations that are delicious. Everything from my drink all the way up until the entree was great. The flavor of the food is perfect. They ha e different levels of how hot you can get it. If you ask for level 10 you better be prepared to break a little sweat, it is good for the soul. Highly recommend this spot for quality Thai food here in York near the center of the city.

The food here is wonderful. I have cravings for the crispy spring rolls. Unfortunately, it is often a time-consuming process to sit down and eat. The service and kitchen can be quite slow.
