Excelsior Hotel

Pleasant view. The service was a little slow. But the assistance to the room was nice. The room met expectations for the most part. The plumbing was not up to par. The water builds up as the shower runs. I had to turn the shower off to allow time to drain. Other than that no complaints.

Good location next to two major subway lines , central park, and the natural history museum. The rooms are clean, but smaller and a bit dated. Staff are good. The wifi is free on the second floor only. All other floors are per day charge.

This is an older property and the rooms vary, but we loved this adjoining room set up traveling with our teens!

Nicely situated on the upper west side next to the museum of natural history. Service was prompt and friendly on arrival. Rooms are showing their age compared to other hotels and the water system pitiable needs an overhaul but it's ok for a couple of nights stop over.
