This is a great hotel it’s a very good value for money and the location is pretty good, the nearest metro station is just around the corner … available free hot drinks are also a big plus .. especially in the mornings … yes, the rooms are on the smaller side, but for a short trip it’s feasible
Great location in Manhattan, just a 3-minute walk to the nearest subway station and a 10-minute walk to Central Park! Knowledgeable and kind front desk staff, easy check in and luggage storage. The room is very compact, basically just a bed with bathroom, but uses space very efficiently and includes a mini fridge, TV, small safe, closet, and under-bed storage. Very clean and comfortable with in-room temperature controls. Included shampoo/conditioner was lovely, and there was a full bottle of hand sanitizer for in-room use. I was on the 2nd floor and I didn't hear much street noise, but you can hear hallway sounds easily; not bothersome to me since I wear earplugs to sleep. Cute outdoor patio with a nifty drink station/microwave next to it. Overall, everything you would want in a hotel, especially when you're mostly out sightseeing. Highly recommended!
The only downsides to this hotel are shared by nearly all Manhattan hotels - everything is tiny. Don't assume that you'll have the kind of amenities that you'd assume at a well rated hotel at this price point - like, for example, a seating area in your room. Or even a single chair. Or even space to open your suitcase. Or to comfortably walk around the edge of the bed. You'll be amazed at the creativity of fitting a shower, tub, toilet, and sink into a space no bigger than a corner supply closet. Even the hallways are narrow enough to trigger claustrophobia. But again this isn't just the Belnord - this is also true of all but the priciest of hotels in the area. It's NYC, square footage is at a premium, and most people would rather squeeze a bit than triple the cost of their vacation. Just - set your expectations. Beyond the miniature size of everything, this is a lovely hotel. Everything is clean, modern, comfortable, attractive. Each room gives you control of central air and heat. You get attentive service and access to free coffee/tea/hot chocolate on the 6th floor, along with a nice little balcony sitting area. And somehow despite the tiny space, they do find a way to fit a mini fridge in every room.
Had a lovely stay here for 7 nights. Facilities are fairly basic but the hotel is very clean and comfortable, and great value compared to other hotels in NYC. Staff were friendly. Location is excellent. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate 24/7. The WiFi is a little patchy but it did work most of the time. The boilers can be a bit loud but it's usually not for too long.
Eu e minha namorada recomendamos o hotel.
Tiny rooms, but they have everything you need. Clean room & bathroom. Never thought I'd say this, but the water pressure was insane. Too intense! Better that than too low, I guess. Just make sure you turn the shower head towards the wall before you turn it on and make sure there are plenty of mats and towels on the floor! That shower curtain can't contain it all. Water & microwave on every floor, plus a nice patio and coffee/tea/hot water & vending machine on the 6th floor, where you can chat with other people staying here. We chose this place because it's literally across the street from my partner's mom's apartment and we needed one night so we weren't sharing a bathroom with 4 people before a big event. It was perfect!
This is my first time in New York and this hotel was closest to the things we wanted to do. The hotel is a fair price and the staff is very nice, especially the cleaning ladies. When we got there, they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied. After that they gave us a key to room that had no ac. They ended up putting us in another room with great ac, close to the little cafe they have and their patio. It was the best. I would definitely stay there again.
This is a good hotel for this price. The area Upper West Side is very nice and there are a few charming cafés around the corner. The staff of the hotel is really friendly and the check-in as well as check-out is easy. There is even a luggage room if you want to leave your suitcases there for some time after you checked out. Two things to consider: 1 The AC and the fridge are really loud but can easily be turned off. 2 The WiFi is slightly inconsistent and a bit slow. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.
The rooms are small, but this is NYC. Easy access to a place to eat fast, and also to the subway system.Rooms: 5/5
First, I cannot say this hotel will work for folks with significant mobility limitations. The rooms are just big enough including space for luggage. Bathrooms are very small. Tall stairs at the entrance. I booked this bc I couldn't do hostiles while traveling with my mother. For a whole hotel room, the price point is great. Everything is clean and looks newly renovated. The inside is very cute. no bad smells, comfortable temperature. 24 hour tea and coffee service. No regrets booking.
