Really nice looking mall in omaha! Really nice looking place! The food court has battery of choices! A lot pf major brands are here!
This is a nice mall, I wouldn't say it the best but its not the worst either, but it near the worst. It felt way too empty in there, the neon was off, the kids play area was closed, and there was a lot of empty spaces. The carnival out in the parking lot is probably going to be a lot better than everything and anything inside the mall.
Sad demise of the American Mall. Three stars only because they don't draw many known stores anymore. It's like no man's land over there. But there are still some interesting little stores there and one of the biggest, and best shoe stores. I'm not sure why Wes Roads is doing well, and this Mall is dying like Cross Roads did. I really prefer the temperature controlled indoors compared to the trend to hit and cold shopping at the outdoor mega-strip malls. Dillards is a real plus here. Creative food court with local owners. Excellent jewelry repair shop; and those are hard to find. The anchor spots are trying to hang in there, and known brands are being replaced by homegrown, creative businesses. Best spa, best Banfield, Guitar Center, etc. Look around, you might find something interesting. One other thing to note; the management is missing out on a possible gold mine of spacewasted space. Weekend farmers market, both I door and outdoor, and/or seasonal flea market.
What was the finest mall in Omaha has dwindled to become another struggling shopping center. The golden age of malls has long surpassed and now represents a shell of their once dominating shopping super centers. This one still has a couple anchor stores; however, the common chain stores that once filled every available box are fewer. This is still a nice mall and I hope there is a day when the enjoyment of going to the mall grows once again.
I'm quite sad this place has been fairly dead in regards to shops. However, I still really enjoy going to browsing and grab a bite! There's quite a few places I've been to that match that delicious Teriyaki Chicken from Sarku Japan! I highly recommend it.
One of the oldest mall in the city. It's a very big place but too few shops. Kids area is very small and doesn't have enough attractions. Food courts are mediocre. Overall it's an average mall. It needs to be improved a lot like the other popular mall in the town West roads mall. The cleanliness of the mall is also on the average side.
From a maintenance and aesthetic perspective, Oak View Mall is a nice mall despite its lack of renovations. One of the most disappointing things for me to see is that they’ve shut off all of the neon despite leaving all of the tubes in tact. As a shopping center this place is past its prime and is about where Crossroads was in the early 2000s. Simon built this one way to close to Westroads, and it would appear that the success of nearby Village Point has put the squeeze on both Westroads and Oak View as VP now contains several national retailers that previously had homes elsewhere in Omaha.
Not a lot of stores but good service and it has Dillards!!! This is a dying mall but I still really like it. Please bring in more stores and update the building and make sure to advertise. Advertising is investing in your own company!
Great Mall for shopping and hanging out with family. Nice food court with Delicious Pizza at the corner. Japanese food, Indian & Mexican food. Very nice and safe playground for kids at the lower level.
Not a bad little mall. A good selection of stores. Food court was absolutely horrible, though. The drinks we got from the hotdog place tasted like drinking pinesol.
