So normally don't post a review unless I am extremely satisfied or I am overwhelmingly disappointed, unfortunately this is a situation where I am overwhelmingly disappointed. I was with babes on a casual date night after getting our annual eye exam and stopped in to check out some frames January 6th, I picked out 2 that I was head over heels in love with 1 Gucci and the other Chloé. Unfortunately the writing one the Chloé lens would not come off and had to be ordered. To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement, but I was assured that they would be ordered and made available to me in no time. I believe it was this past Wednesday when I called to see what the hold up was seeing that I am getting ready to travel and wanted to have what I paid for in full before I left the country. I was told to come in so we could discuss the issue, apparently there was a backorder due to COVID, what else is new. My problem was that even if this was true, no one reached out to me to say hey I know I told you A but due to unforseen circumstances it's not going to be that way I would of understood. I arrived at the shop yesterday and was told the situation, Alex the owner asked to to try and see if there was anything else of equal value that I liked. After not seeing anything I was promised that they would come in no later than Saturday I promise. Now what made me upset is that while I was there I tried on a pair of Chloe shades and was not feeling them, when I asked if they had the ones that was ordered to look at them again I was told ohh we don't have them, they were sent back to the company because they were "damaged" to exchange for the new ones. This morning I get a call from Andrea all bubbly and happy go lucky like "good news" your shades came in. I arrived at the shop and I try them on and I swear I get this feeling that its the same Chloé frames that I tried on yesterday and was not feeling. Not only that but they just so happen to have the original ones that was on display, the "damaged" ones that they didn't have yesterday becauseyou know, they weresent back. I leave with them and a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach but decided to cut my $1000 loss and have nothing to do with this place ever again. Lo and behold I received a text message asking me to leave a review of my experience like really,I wasn't going to say anything but babes said speak my peace so this is exactly what I am doing. Would I return to this shop?, no I would not. Would I recommend them after my experience?, no I would not. Why do I say that? 1. Because the customer service I received outside of me being in the shop was horrible in my experience. I should not have to contact you to find out about my order. 2. Their prices are on the higher end. I say this because I took pictures of the 2 frames that I purchased and used Google lens to find them and they both were considerably cheaper at other places. I'm a big girl so I'm going to take this for what it was a loss. For the money that I spent I could have gotten the same 2 frames plus another pair for the same money. Take pictures of the frames use Google lens, see where you can get the best price and according to Andrea "make sure they are not fakes Update: From one business owner to another, I understand that no one wants a negative review however what we are not going to do is lie. I was NEVER offered a refund, I wasn't even offered a discount on a future purchase. I stated in the store that I don't remember those being the frames that I originally purchased. Furthermore it bothers me that you are trying to portray this act that you reached out to me to inform me about the "delay " when it was i who contacted the store to find out why I hadn't received a call in regards to my glasses. I would say though that this has thought me a lesson take a picture of not only the frames but the model number next time I visit another eyewear provider in case my frames to to be ordered. I wish you nothing but the best in the future.
I initially went to Eye Crafters for an eye exam. The doctor was excellent, and I was impressed they had all the latest equipment to make the evaluation. The staff was exceptionally attentive in helping me decide which lens options to go with for my old frames. The lenses arrived the next day, much faster than I had anticipated, and again the staff went out of their way to make sure the lenses met my needs. They also have an extensive selection of frames, and gave me a great price on a new pair of glasses. Truly some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. I highly recommend them.
Let me tell you, the team here has been a heaven sent, since I discovered them a couple of years ago. The lens quality, the service, the awesome turn around time is simply the best I’ve ever experienced. The Owner Alex treats you like family and delivers that old school style of customer service that sadly we’re losing in many establishments today. You know it’s real when the handshake matches the smile, and they do it time & time again….THANK YOU!
One the absolute best eye glass stores in NYC! Alex and his staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating, there’s a great optometrist’s office on site, and they have a fantastic selection of glasses and sunglasses for every style and price range. Highly recommended!
I came in as a lost puppy as it has been some time I've visited an eye doctor, but literally every staff member was a pleasure to interact with and assisted me along the way, answering any questions and concerns I had with well educated and honest responses. I was treated with great care every step of the way with surprisely quick and efficient service, I recieved my new frames astonishingly quick in a few days. Location is extremely convenient, extremely close to the subway. This will be my spot going forward and I would highly recommend.
Alex Owner / Chief Operating Officer Opticians, and his Support Team @ Eye Crafter's are the best group of individuals that I have ever worked regarding obtaining my prescription lenses, and designer frames for the last 4 1/2 years. They are professional, courteous, compassionate, patient, and always putting the needs of their client's first. I highly recommended Alex and his Team to family, friends and coworkers, collectively. This store is simply fabulous! First, there is a huge and stunning selection of frames with very reasonable prices from the very top designers to others, including for children. You will defInitely find the ones that are made for you! In addition there is an optician the owner who is on the premises and who also is out on the floor. Everyone is super- personable, super-professional and has impeccable taste—in helping you select those frames created just for your face and personality. Nili helped me and I couldn’t be more delighted!! Enjoy the experience!
Went to this place to get my eye exam and some new glasses. Everything was smooth. Make sure you talk to Jasmine! She is amazing. She’s easy to talk to, relatable, funny and will help you find a park of glasses that suits you. She made sure I looked at every display case to make sure I saw all my options and additionally gave me feedback on how the glasses looked on me. She’s great! She needs to get a raise! Lol great experience.
I receive Great, Great service everytime I come to eye crafters optical. Always a pleasure doing business with Alex and now my new friend Daniel. The doctor is also very experienced in what he does concerning the examination.
Everyone one at eye crafters was extremely helpful from the moment I walked in to picking the perfect frames. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. Jasmine was extremely helpful.
