Farro Italian Restaurant

Nice place. First time there. Neighborly atmosphere. They serve bread to dipped in an oil, vinegar, and pepper (vegetable, not black). Very tasty! I had the pork with sour cherries and spinach. It was just ok. My husband said his salmon was very good. We stayed a long time and never felt rushed by the servers.

We loved it. The service was excellent. The chef/owner came out to each table to talk. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Wine was reasonably priced. Atmosphere was cozy but not pretentious.

The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. My wife and I had a really good glass of wine. The food was not good. The “yummy” dipping oil is a concoction of lightly pickled veggie mix in oil? It looked and tasted old. The bread was fine by itself. For an app we got calamari. The flavors were weird, more of an Asian twist, and left a bitter aftertaste. I get calamari every chance I get and this was disappointing. We sent my wife’s chicken parm back because it was rubbery and undercooked. They made her another and it was much better, decent in fact. I was a little jealous because it was way better than the spicy shrimp pizza I ordered. I ate one piece and boxed the rest with no intent to eat. The shrimp were still a little translucent and the spinach on top wasn’t even a little wilted. It just didn’t taste good. I had know intentions of eating it. I just felt guilty. I don’t usually send stuff back.

We have been to this restaurant about 10 times in the last 2 years. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in all of Highlands Ranch. The food is 5 star dining. The ambience is a bit lacking, but it's still warm. It's a chef owned restaurant, so the focus is definitely on the food. The prices are very reasonable and service is great! The wine list could use some better wines by the glass (please add some Napa cabs). I typically order the fish special and my husband gets the Half Chicken every time. I always leave thinking- why don't we come here more often? Highly recommend!

Fabulous meal! Excellent service. Loved the decor and ambience. An instant favorite. Farro is now on our list of “Go To” restaurants. Will bring family and friends.
