Early this year I reached out to this company to make a banner sign for a trade show and when I received the sign and went to set it up in my booth, it clearly had a major defect.  They remade the sign following the event for a future use, but I felt their QA process was lacking. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hired them to do a major sign change that also involved securing a sign permit.  I simply didn't have time to do the permit paperwork and I thought it would be easier to pay them to do it. Over the next FIVE months, they continued to drag their feet, claim that the city was messing up, tell us that they had applied for the permit, and when I finally reached out to the city myself, I was told that they in fact had never filed for the permit.  After I provided a complete timeline of events or lack thereof supplied to me by the city, the owner finally admitted that they had lost a long time employee that did permits and that he would take it over personally to see the project through. Against my better judgement I let them do the right thing, thinking he could resolve the issue. Weeks and weeks later, the city reached out to me, saying that there was still no permit in place and was I still wanting to go forward with the project.  I was shocked and reached out to the owner who again tried to cover his tracks.  The permit paperwork was filed within the next couple of days and after all the months and months of back and forth, when I looked up the permit online that day, I found the photos provided to the city showed the wrong sign.  I reached out to the owner again, stating how disappointed I was in this process and how the wrong photo had been sent.  I also attached the many emails between his employee Matthew and I showing clearly that I had requested a change in the signage and it was never fixed. His response was not apologetic, it was simply "that is unfortunate" and he resent the picture.  This resulted in yet another delay. He then emailed me and said he would not finish the project beyond the sign permit. We were left waiting FIVE months for a permit that Salem Sign was able to have secured within 48 hours.  I have never worked with a company that treated me this way. I found his conduct to be unprofessional and instead of offering an apology for HIS mistakes, he instead chose to gaslight me. Don't use them to do your permits, just DON'T.  I'm sure on some level, their sign quality is fine but double check EVERYTHING. ***note***I have all documentation for anyone who is interested in verifying facts and I'm happy to provide it upon request.

I like the quality of the printing, I LOVE the customer service Jon has been excellent!!, and the install department has been flexible on scheduling. Five stars!! I've already highly recommended FastSigns in Salem to two other businesses I talked to recently.

The sales rep, on more than one occasion, has gone above and beyond in order to make sure my order was the correct one for my purposes.
