Mail Depot

Incredibly convenient, and extremely kind staff. Went in during holiday mailing crush and they were not only ensuring everyone in line was prepared with the materials they needed, but offered to take letters off customers' hands to lighten their loads, and even offered a stool to an elderly gentleman to make his wait easier. Top notch service and an unexpected but pleasantly surprising level of kindness.

It's a great place to go for your U.S. postal needs, and to pick-up a gift item or two if you're out shopping for small, inexpensive gifts. The best part is the bakery there! Heidi L. Olson is the owner and baker at "Pure Dcadence Pastries" and they have the best bakery items in all of Salem, Oregon bar none! Everything Heidi bakes is absolutely delicious, and when you go to purchase any one or two, or three, or more! of her delectable baked goods you'll be back for more!!!

The Mail Depot is convenient, yet I have had 2 packages I mailed to Ireland returned back to the states as rejected by customs because Taric codes were not included with the inventory on the customs forms. Fortunately, one was corrected in NY and the other made its way all of the way back to OR before getting corrected and is now on its way back to Ireland. The first package took 2 months to get there and the second package is going on a month and a half. I went on and spoke with the staff at Mail Depot and they said they never heard of such codes and didn't know they had to include them. From now on, I will go directly to USPS.

I've shipped 30-40 packages through here via USPS. Multiple orders got stuck in the USPS system because of their improper labeling certified instead of priority. The final straw was that I had an order I placed with tracking and they put the completely wrong address into the system and it got sent to the wrong house. They told me that all I needed to do was file a claim online since it was their mistake and USPS would refund me the money since they were one of USPS's official places and it was their mistake. That wasn't the truth, I couldn't even make a claim since the order was successfully delivered since they put the wrong address. I called the destination USPS and they couldn't help, went to and called my local USPS to no avail. This caused me to close down my small business because that wiped a whole month of profits out for me and essentially cost me money. No reason to support a small business like this if they are going to make such big mistakes and not be able to resolve it.

Best customer service! Love the gift area too. My number 1 place for mailing!

Great place and all the workers are very nice and helpful but there is one worker and she acts annoyed and rude when working and interacting with customers and needs better customer service skills thats for sure
