Fun place to brunch when it’s nice out but we did have to wait like 20 minutes to to be sat even with a reservation. They kind of threw a table on the corner for us in a spot behind a big party and we didn’t have our order taken for a while but it was busy. It’s a fun place to go with friends. We had a dog as well which was fine. Food was very good, especially loved the escargot
We booked for brunch on Sunday. The waiter was so rushing to accommodate any walk-in that they neglected to provide the basic service. They changed the orientation of our table halfway through our meal. They refused to take our appetizers order before the main and brough out the main before we were even done with our appetizers and tried to take our dish away. On top of that, the fries were old and fried in old oil. The steak was decent but didn't make up for all the other issues with the service.
I fully recommend this place. Went to this awesome restaurant today with some fellow researchers for the France vs. Netherlands game today for a needed break. We had the wrong time for our reservation, but we're able to finagle a way to still watch part of the game. If you go for an event, make sure to make a reservation and check the times for when you want to be there. Like most places in NYC who are playing sporting events, your reservation will last during the game time. The next round of reservation will be booked and they get packed but you can order from the bar; and if there is room, you may stand there or sit at the bar. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is perfect. Our waiters were attentive and kind. It was a very high energy time for the France game but the staff were excellent at maintaining the space and preventing over crowding but still allowing for a full and friendly experience. One aspect I really loved-- being from New Orleans and always seeking francophone experiences wherever I go-- was the community or patrons there. It is a special experience to see the families and customers who have been going there for decades. Even if not for a game, I wholly believe that a great meal will be had. For the game, we absolutely loved the idea of these enormous wine bottles and the absolute deft and graceful way the waiter was even able to pour it for a tasting before. Best ever. Definitely je t'aime, Fèlix!
Definitely not what it used to be. I was so excited to eat their famous hand cut fries after so many years since I last went to Felix, only to find out the fries were actually frozen… The food was definitely subpar, as was the wine we ordered despite the price, and the service couldn’t have been more rushed. Barely finished my plate—it was already gone. I was still wiping my mouth with my napkin, I put it on the table—gone immediately. Give us a minute, please! Anyhow, would not recommend.
This is a great place for people watching even now during COVID. Street is busy with people. Service was friendly. Casual and laid back vibe with music in the background. Oysters were surprisingly good. East coast oysters. Mussels were just ok. A little overcooked. The steak was ok but seemed like it was cook over something before cleaning the grill. Just seemed like there was a flavor different than the meat. This is more for a good neighborhood soho restaurant for being in the “scene” but food was just okay. Wine was good. Bread was ok. Bottomless water :
Very crowded every weekend! Good spot to have brunch and hang out! The staff were nice and helpful . They were very entertaining. This place is very popping nowadays. Every time I went or walk by ,there are lines in front of the restaurant especially summer time . Luckily last time I went my friend and I got the table from a walk in . Good spot for day party
You come here to party on Sunday. By far the best place to be on that date. Just super hard to land a table or even get in unless you know someone and book in advance. Even then, they will not honor your reservations. Once you’re in, it’s a blast! Especially if there’s a big soccer match going on.
Food was mid. The group I was with ordered quite a few different items and everything was quite a bit bland and escargot was good, though. The service was not great - the waiter made us feel rushed and unimportant compared to other tables… I noticed that we were the only table inside and outside that had people of color at it but I can’t be certain if that was the issue.
Super fun spot for brunch. We went on a Sunday at around 2-3 pm and partied until 10 pm while we had no plans to do so. Brunch was great too. Highly recommend the french onion soup!!Recommended dishes
