Festus Police Department

I don't know about the rest of the officers but I have commend Officer Bloodworth. He showed much compassion in a situation with my son. I just wish all officers were this concerned about people and not just power mongers. I Personally THANK YOU OFFICER BLOODWORTH!!

Leaving Waffle House and while approaching Hwy A to turn off Bradley, an elderly woman was standing next to her car, obviously just in an accident. I got out to stay with her, called 911. Dispatcher was very rude to me. There's no reason to be that way. She wanted info I didn't have as I didn't witness the accident, and wouldn't accept my answers. Shame on her!

This municipality needs serious reform. Not only have numerous officers refused to document reports of criminal activity but they also joined in some of the corruptness by engaging in nonprofessional practices and outright abuse to some community members. I have first hand experience and documented evidence of unwarranted abuse by officers. Im a minority and yes I broke the law 7 years ago but is that enough to keep the police from even taking a report involving incidents of hate crimes against myself and my family? What is worse then a bunch of male officers abusing the reporting victim at an already vulnerable state? No one holds them accountable for wrongdoings, discriminatory practices or targeting behaviors. Festus police get to sweep bad behavior under the rug which unfortunately means more of the same disruptive behaviors on innocent and undeserving community members. Whats really going on here? Are they scared to deal with a real criminal who does real acts of violence or why the disregard to it?? #raising awareness one review at a time.
