First Supply

Not for "John Q Public". Went to look for Kohler part after buying a valve at Menard's. They pretty much told me I didn't buy it there because they don't sell Kohler and a contractor came in behind me and agreed with them. WRONG! Menard's and Home Depot do sell Kohler valve parts with Kohler part numbers. Also they have a rule that you can't open a Kohler part to see it. Example - my wife wanted to see the shower handle and finish. One associate said you'll be fired if you open that box. What is that about? I explained why would I buy a part I can only see from a 1/2" black and white picture. In which I was told Madison has a very nice showroom. The next associate then opened the box from the bottom preserving the Kohler seal. OK I'll give positive points form that. Then while asking questions the man I was dealing with then proceeds to help the contractor who came in after me. 1 - why buy a $100+ part you can't see 2 - contractors come first because the rest of use don't know what we're talking about. Even if you are an educated engineer that works with electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics and chemicals. 3 - I had brought Kohler part numbers with me to the store, but the attempt to find a trim piece and handle was not going past the one item he brought out. Not attempt to sell or offer me any one of the other 30 options I brought in. 4 - hate to say it but I received better service online at eFacuets. This is said because I prefer to support local.
