Fletcher’s Boat House is open from mid March through October. We rent rowboats, kayaks, canoes and bicycles; we sell fishing licenses, bait, tackle and refreshments.
Because of the unique access to both the Potomac River as well as the historic Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, Fletcher’s Boathouse has been a local renowned paddling and fishing destination since the 1850s.
Bring your poles, rent a rowboat and spend a peaceful day casting your line for the big one. While at Fletcher’s, you can pick up your fishing license at the Tackle Shack, along with carefully chosen fishing tackle suitable for local angling, plus snacks and refreshments.
If you’re more of a landlubber, you and your family can rent bicycles for a leisurely ride along the miles of beautiful trails.
