A large state park with so many fun things to do. Campgrounds that are very nice. There are three different lakes to fish. A very nice beach with a sidewalk that goes into the lake. Mountain bike, hiking and horseback riding trails. Also has an access area to the Kalamazoo river. A wonderful place to visit.

First time back in many years but just as I remembered it! I love the red loop and all of it's challenges it has to offer. But take caution and bare in mind your personal skill level. There are short cuts for many of the obstacles, or simply just a whole separate section to divert around the obstacles. But all in all an amazing place and great views all throughout. Be careful if trail clean up and construction, the trail reroutes are easy to follow at speed but just a heads up. Not to certain when they will be complete but most of the bypasses where near section 14-16 at the moment. Happy trails!!!

Great place to get outdoors. Plenty of trails, great space for picnics, and the water views are great. They have horse, bike, and hiking trails. From what I could tell a hiker can go on any trail but they horses and bikes have to stay on their designated trails. Regardless, good place to hike.

The campground and lake is great. But on busy days the line and wait just to get back to the campground is horrible. We waited over 35 minutes just to get to our campsite because you have to wait in the same line for the lake. They should have it sepperated. I didn’t pay all that money to stay for 9 days to sit in lines with people that are not calling. They need to fix that

From the first visit years ago I have always enjoyed this area. It so wide open that even with a summer crowd it is a peaceful quiet get away. The beach is the right size for kids of all ages with clean water throughout....good fishing and boating.
