Be weary of the information they give you. Although they are highly trained officers of the law they don’t have the education and knowledge about many laws. This might cause you to either get in terrible situations because of their direction. Question everything and get a second opinion on everything they tell you.

Consistently, people park and block my driveway. I call the local PD to help me out, and deter them from parking there. Unfortunately, the officer normally doesn't come, no one gets tickets, and the same people frel okay blocking my driveway.

The Fort Lee cops are the most professional and probably the hardest working officers in Bergen County. If you had a problem with them it's because you caused it.

Fort Lee is a safe town compared to most places and the cops do a good job maintaining this peace in the community. Yesterday, my car died at a stoplight and two cops helped me push it into my driveway that was a block away. People complaining about the tickets should understand that these cops are instructed to hand out a certain amount of tickets every month or else it would reflect negatively on them as an officer. Don't complain about the cops; complain about the system and be more proactive in sending your complaints to departments where it would count. Second of all, most cops would not ticket you unless there is certainly a violation clearly stated on the ticket slip regardless of how ridiculous the violation is; otherwise, it can be taken to court. These cops do not receive commission from these tickets at all. They get paid your regular hourly and the money from the tickets goes to the state and spent on certain public programs to offset the costs.
