Hackensack Police Department

Rude ignorant.... And arrogant. Way different then our southern half of the state. HPD needs to be retrained. No one needs to be mocked or put down. On mistakes they make. In front of other people. Or by half the station.

Rating for couple years ago. Officer was very helpful and understanding. Hope he's still around doing a great job. It's good to have decent honest cops. I think most needs retraining and to be mentally evaluated to deal with the public effectively without causing harm to anyone.

First time calling & I can completely understand why HPD has only 3 stars for reviews. The dispatcher was blatantly rude and short. This is exactly why so many people today dislike cops.

Every single interaction I had today with their officers after a fender bender was punctuated by blatant disrespect and unprovoked rudeness. All the way up to a Liuetenant who gave me nothing but a crap attitude simply because I asked a question to clarify some confusion about having my car towed. Absolutely, positively, and without a doubt the most unprofessional outfit of law enforcement I've ever interacted with in my life.
