The interpretive center is worth the trip alone. Elevated wooden walkways surround the remains of the earthworks and make for a lovely stroll.

This is a history lesson. It is awesome and intriguing. There's a 20 minute or so film that is a must see with regard to the forts! Definitely a must do if you're a history buff or a teacher of Louisiana studies.
