The Virginia Beach History Museums include the Francis Land House, Thoroughgood House, Lynnhaven House, and Princess Anne County Training School/Union Kempsville High School Museum. They are owned and operated by the City of Virginia Beach Department of Museums, which provides stewardship of the City’s historic resources and programs to educate the community about local history.
The Princess Anne County Training School/Union Kempsville High School Museum is open Tuesday and Wednesday, 10am-4pm, and on Monday through Wednesday with advance reservations. For more information or to book a tour, please call 385-5100.
Currently, the Thoroughgood House is closed while a new Visitor's Center is built. We hope to reopen the Thoroughgood House in Early 2017. The Lynnhaven House is also closed for restoration work. We hope to reopen the Lynnhaven House in 2018.
