The Military Aviation Museum, located at the Virginia Beach Airport, is home to one of the largest private collections of First and Second World War, and Korean War era fighters, bombers, trainers and seaplanes.
The Military Aviation Museum features one of the world's largest collections of historic military aircraft.
Each airframe has undergone a painstaking restoration, using original components, whenever possible.
Truly a living museum, new aircraft are in restoration at facilities around the world.
Simultaneously, the Museum complex, at the Virginia Beach Airport, is being transformed by the installation of additional structures.
In 2012, the 1934 Luftwaffe Hangar, originally from Cottbus, Germany, was opened. It now serves to house the Museum's collection of WWII-vintage German aircraft.

The mission of the Military Aviation Museum is to preserve, restore, and fly the historic aircraft of the first 50-years of heavier-than-air flight.
The Museum's collection allows a new generation to experience and learn from what their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers may have endured -- on the lonely airfields and in the skies -- so very far from home.
