Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Phoenix North

My wife and I started with the Phoenix North Dance studio with zero knowledge of ballroom dancing. Although we can't claim expertise yet, the instructors have patiently taught us the basic moves and variations and we are certainly enjoying our twice a week lessons. I would highly recommended the Dance Studio for beginners as well as experienced dancers.

We signed up for 2 private 1 hour introductory lessons. The instructor was very good and we had a great time, but the instructor ended our first lesson after about 40 min, the second lesson lasted about 35 minutes before we were asked to sign up for one of 2 very expensive packages that included 4 or 6 one hour lessons. We really wish it had been a better situation, we really did like it the short while it lasted. After seeing how short an hour was there, and the costs, we had to pass and are trying other studios.

My husband and I are loving our experience at this studio! It is a gorgeous environment and provides plenty of room for instruction as well as a smaller practice floor. The staff is wonderful and supportive and Sarah is a patient and talented instructor. We have completed a few private lessons and attended a couple of practice nights and will be continuing with our lessons in the coming weeks. We have a lot of opportunities to dance during our travels and know that we are going to really enjoy our next cruise when we can get out on the floor and actually have a clue. :) We are excited to continue learning and honing our skills - it's so much fun! If you have considered trying dance lessons, I would highly recommend you try this particular studio with Sarah and Nedko. They offer a great "new client" package of 2 private lessons to get you started!

My husband surprised me with a couple of lessons here for a date night. Our experience was so great! They have patient and fun teachers who make even the shortest visits worth your time and money. Excellent teachers and a great space. Highly recommend!

This review is long over due. My husband and I have had the joy of taking dance lessons at Fred Astaire Phoenix North since they opened the beautiful studio in January. We started with a small package of lessons to tune up our dance skills, but we have had so much fun we keep coming back for more. After seeing us have so much fun dancing, both of our children asked to take lessons too! The practice parties are the highlight of their week and such a great opportunity for my husband and I to practice all that we learn. Our confidence on the dance floor has grown exponentially and the time we get to spend together as a couple is wonderful. Sarah, Nedko, and Isis are not only excellent dance teachers, they have made us feel like family. We highly recommend FADS Phx North!
