Going down fast. There is a lot to want to love here. Rosemary is amazing with the young kids, teaching strong tap and ballet fundamentals. Megan is also great and puts together excellent routines for the kids. Her efforts and dedication are appreciated. The other youth teacher they chose to bring in this year and retain despite many parents voicing concerns, is the total opposite. She shows up when she feels like it, 10 minutes of warm up 15 minutes of free dance and maybe 10 minutes of elementary dance instruction and then ending class 10 minutes early. It's a joke. Not up to royal's prior standards. But they obviously don't care because they allow it to continue. They'll care when they see the mass exodus of kids from the studio. Who's running this place? Nobody apparently. Absentee owner? Nope. They need someone to come in and organize this place before it's too late. There are much better options out there. Do your homework.

Royal Dance Works has been my home away from home for the last 18 years and has been such a significant part of my life. From starting out in a combination class at 4 years old to spending nearly every day at the studio as a 10 year member of Royal’s competition/performing company, my passion and love for dance grew at Royal.
The studio is by far the best in the area and exceeds all standards and expectations. The director, Carole Royal, has been in the dance business for over 35 years and has the most experience and knowledge to make Royal Dance Works the best place it can be. The assistant director, Lupe, is the heart of the studio and not only shapes you as a dancer, but as a person too. Together they have built an incredible legacy and Royal was named #1 Dance Studio in Arizona by Dancer's Magazine. The studio is tightly connected with the professional industry which provides top-notch education quality for the dancers. Royal's alumni has done incredible things, not just in the dance world, but in life itself.
Whether you are looking for a beginning combination class for a young child or a top competitive team, Royal has it all. The studio are spacious and clean, and the overall facility is beautiful. They always offer a healthy and safe learning environment. The lounging area is comfortable and offers Wi-Fi which allows to students and parents to work. The people are friendly and welcoming. The front office staff is organized and eager to help you with questions or concerns at any given moment. The classes are diverse and fulfilling. Their teachers are attentive and compassionate, as well as motivating and inspiring. They encouraged me to perform my best and pushed me to my full potential as a dancer and a person. Royal and their faculty has given me the confidence to achieve my goals and taught me to always strive to improve and want to be better in everything I pursue, even after I have graduated from the studio.
Royal Dance Works has taught me so much more than just dance. They have taught me skills that I will carry with me throughout life, such as teamwork, responsibility, and commitment. Royal guides you to be the best person and dancer you can possibly be. I feel privileged to have been apart of their Performance Company, which is more than just a team, it is my family. I am forever grateful for the lasting memories and lifelong friendships that Royal has allowed me to have and to have grown up at such a special place. I graduated almost 5 years ago, and still return “home” when I can. I would highly recommend Royal to anyone, no matter what level of dance you are looking for, Royal is truly the best of the best and has something to offer for everyone.

The WORST.... don't waste your time or money. No structure to classes. No real dance studio. They ask you to pay (in full $90.00) for costume you advise them you can't participate with and then, after paying for it, surprises you by saying you can't have it until you pay for additional month... first - keeping something I paid for hostage until they force you to pay yet again.
My daughter and granddaughter refuse to let this horrible experience lesson our love for all things dance.. JUST NOT HERE.
Please - do your homework here.. you'll do so much better with a real dance studio. Your child's experience will be much more rounded and enjoyable

Great dance school. The teachers are amazing. Even though I have been at royal for a short time, I have loved it.
